Probably... Final Fantasy 14? I really want photo-realistic graphics, and the engine for the game just doesn't hold up as well today.
You mean final Fantasy 4? 14 came out like 5 months ago, it's already in HD....Probably... Final Fantasy 14? I really want photo-realistic graphics, and the engine for the game just doesn't hold up as well today.

Oh no, Final Fantasy 4 already has a nice DS remake.
Well seeing as how remakes are just cash cows and the death of creativity, I thought I'd go for broke.
You can remake hundreds of games, but really one must consider perhaps borrowing from their ideas, expanding upon them, and making them better instead of wasting time on something they've already done and will either receive backlash from fans or not be very good to begin with.
Especially if the only "remake" part one cares about is upscaled graphics...
lol wut. Then just make a sequel with the better ideas.Well seeing as how remakes are just cash cows and the death of creativity, I thought I'd go for broke.

I don't care why they do it. I thoroughly enjoyed playing GOW1 and 2 again and it pleased me to be able to play them in HD rather than digging out my PS2 again.
I'd like to see a Ratchet & Clank Collection or Earthworm Jim. I'd happily pay to buy those again arther than dig out my old systems.

Same difference. Didn't say a sequel shouldn't be put. However continuing a story that's already been told isn't always advisable...
i would totally play an enhanced Pokémon game. :o
i want to say Final Fantasy games.
but the graphics nowadays with the depth of the world maps would take way too long.
that's one of the reasons why FFXIII was so linear.

I think HD remakes in general are shameless cash ins.savebattery
What exactly is shameless about them?
The God of War Collection actually makes the games better by stabilizing the frame rate and cleaning up the already exceptional visuals. I paid full price for both GOW games separately and I still felt the Collection was worth the investment. There was nothing shameless about the level of polish and effort that went in the restoration of those two classics and I'd assert the same about Perfect Dark on XBLA.
It may be a cash-grab but if the conversion is done well then who cares? Gamers who want a definitive version of their favorite classic get it and those who missed out on the original game get a second opportunity. Personally, I'd slap down 50 bucks to have a re-mastered, HD version of Shadow of the Colossus that ran at 60 fps.

Really? Because Bionic Commando: Rearmed was actualy better than the original and expounded on the greatness of that game in just about every way possible.

The conversion won't always be done well. Just wait until you see another GoW collection and you're sitting in your chair thinking, hmm but this one is already good enough why make another one? and then another will be made and another and another.
You see what I'm getting at?

I don't think there will be a remake of GoW Collection....That doesn't even...[QUOTE="Grammaton-Cleric"]

No, I don't see your point at all, honestly.
There haven't been all that many HD converstions to begin with and purchasing them is entirely optional. All these HD remakes/reboots ensure is that people have plenty of options, which is a good thing.
The Legend of Dragoon, I really want them to either remake it or come out with a sequel, or something. I loved that game.
Oooh, and the Soul Reaver / Legacy of Kain games. They were awesome and I'd love to play them again... alas my Dreamcast hath broken.

I'm not fully against your point but this is a bad example when considering PD XBLA released at 1/5 the cost of the GoW collection.[QUOTE="thattotally"]You mean final Fantasy 4? 14 came out like 5 months ago, it's already in HD.... 14 did not come out yet your thinking of 13 cuz 14 is not out til sept. 30Probably... Earthworm Jim in HD is now on PSN. Rejoice! Shadow of the Colossus and Ico, although rumor has it that they're coming out as a collection before The Last Guardian. Road Rash series, Streets of Rage series, Blackthorne and Flashback, although the graphics in Flashback were really cool, even if they were trying to mimic pc graphics of that time on a 32-bit system.I'd like to see a Ratchet & Clank Collection or Earthworm Jim. I'd happily pay to buy those again arther than dig out my old systems.

Earthworm Jim in HD is now on PSN. Rejoice! meteo_ryteReally? Awesome! Oh please let it be available in the ridiculously gimped AU PSN store.... please!
PS2:
Shadow of the Collosus
Jak and Daxter games
Burnout 3
Metal Gear Solid 2 + 3
Twisted Metal: Black
Kindgom Hearts
Indigo Phropeshy
Ico
Ratchet and Clank games
Wii:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Wii Sports
Super Mario Galaxies
MadWorld
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
No More Heroes games
Wii Sports Resort
Wii Fit
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Little King's Story
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Ultima Underworld. Picture it redone with say, unreal 3 engine. It would be awesome.
TES III: Morrowind. It uses gamebryo, same as Oblivion, so if they'd tweak the textures, view range (mods already do this for PC version), enhance the combat system, flesh out the skill system a bit, etc, it would be amazing. Not an easy task and probably not financially worth it, but darn, I'd give my newborn for a Morrowind remake :)
