And no, not because of how bad they were :P

Either something to do emotionally or storywise, either in a sad way or a happy way :D

Me neither, not to say though that there have not been plenty of gaming moments I consider sad. :(

I haven't cried due to a game but one of my friends cried during the funeral scene on Lost Odyssey. I still make fun of him for that.

Still waiting. It will happen eventually. Every other form of media made me cry so I'm sure games will too.

Lost odyssey.

Almost made me cry on two occasions

1. The first dream about that little girl dying

2. when
Lirum dies
Yeah Lost Odyssey is a extremely moving game, and is vastly underrated. I actually shead a tear in happiness when i finished reading the story about the Little Girl who no-one believes tells the truth, as stupid as it sounds :P

I've never even come close to crying, but the ending to the Prince of Persia: TsoT made me feel sad at least, which is most I can say for any game.

I have never cried during a video game but have become very emotional. The only two game I can remember being emotional at are Metal Gear Solid 4 and surpisingly Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon (the ending is actually sad :|)

The Credits of Silent Hill 2, when the letter is being read aloud, got me pretty emotional. I don't know who was the voice actor but I do hope she got paid well for that part.

Eeeerm, does crying because I was forced to play silent hill count? Game scared me at that time.

If not, then I haven't cried at a game. The strongest I was emotionalyattached to a story would be when I was playing Bioshock, but there ain't anythingsad inthat game.

Mass Effect ending, when
everyone thinks that Shepard is dead, but then he suddenly rises from the ashes
made me watery-eyed. I even clapped when credits started to roll. Max Payne 2
when Mona dies. Max had lost his baby girl, wife, friends and now Mona. Made me feel depressed. But then I played the real ending. That time I nearly cried from happiness.
Brothers in Arms : Hells Highway, when
we find out that Red is paralysed. And then Matt delivers one of the best speeches I've ever heard during a game.
Mafia. I think everybody knows the ending.

The 'good' ending to Bioshock made me cry, despite all the negative things people say about it I thought it was really sweet and moving.

That was one of the only times I've teared up during a game. The game's entire last act, from the videotape scene onwards, is such a huge downer. Silent Hill 2 has got to be one of the most depressing games I've ever played.

No game has made me cry, but Shadow of the Colossus might've had I not been playing with someone else. When I had my girlfriend play, she was in tears for more than an hour. And then she hit me for letting her play a game that made her sad.

*spoilers* I guess it depends on your defination of "crying," no game has made me sob or cry, but two games I can recall, made my eyes tear for a few secs and only on first playthrough. -"Tales of Symphonia 2," where Marta tells Emil she wants to stay with him even though, where hes going she can't follow. Then with the good ending, he shows up behind her and no words, no tears there but it was a good silent ending. -"Chrono Cross," I've never been as upset about an event in a game as with this one. After Serge saves Kid from the Lucca house fire. Kid asks Serge if hes going to leave her all alone. No matter your choice, Serge is sucked back through time gate and Kid is left abandonded with all her friends gone in the fire. Of course to that sad Kid theme in the background music too. It wasn't as sad the second time, but only cause I knew what had to happen obviously.

I haven't cried ONCE during over a video game. It seems so silly. Show me the saddest video game video on YouTube. Chances are I'll be back without shedding a tear.

Why does it seem silly? Movies can inspire great emotional depths, why not games?
