Games that were cancelled that you were looking forward to.

List them here. I would have to say True Crime: Hong Kong, and Cipher Complex.

I didn't realize TC:HK was officially cancelled. That's a bummer. And I was looking forward to Cipher Complex as well. I actually had a couple of screenshots I was using for desktop wallpaper for a while. I would be surprised if no one brought up Starcraft: Ghost.muthsera666

Yeah, Starcraft: Ghost seemed like an interesting concept.

Also, this list can include games that still came out, but went through many builds that were eventually scrapped, such as Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Dead Rush :( I think Elements of it inspired Dead Rising though.

For me its a tie between Battlefront 3 and Shenmue 3.

I was really looking forward to Sadness for the Wii, since it sounded really interesting... but, slowly but surely, it became evident that it was never going to come. :(

That was all I was going to say until I scrolled down and saw Starcraft: Ghost. Holy wow I have to agree with that one. I was super stoked about being able to interact with the Starcraft world in that way... but then hope for it, too, slowly faded before vanishing in a puff of despair.

Duke Nukem Forever. Yes I know it has a "release date" but I'll believe it when I see it on the shelves :P

BC for the original xbox, hyped as a game where you were in a tribe of cavemen and you went out hunting etc in an open world, the screenshots looked incredible for the time and the concept sounded awesome.

Probably the original Resident Evil 4... don't get me wrong the "new" Resident Evil 4 was badass, but I wanted to see the hookman....

Fear Effect 3 for PS2. I was looking forward to it so much! It was an awesome series. Think Blade Runner meets Resident Evil if you aren't familiar with it.

I have heard that Mirror's Edge 2 might be cancelled yet might be coming. If it isn't then it'll be a big disappointment.

There were rumors ofa Chrono sequel floating around for a while and it seems to have been put on hold. Come on, SquareEnix! Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross were amazing... Let's see what you can do with the PS3 or the 360 and a new Chrono game.

Its more of 'shelved till publisher found but Brutal Legend 2.

I don't get why Blizzard can't or won't just resurrect that game and get it done. Activision Blizzard has planet-sized loads of money from CoD & WoW, Blizzard Entertainment itself doesn't know how to make a bad game. If they were to work on this and put it out next year with really good visuals and all of the gameplay elements that were promised back in the day, there's no question it would sell millions. I don't understand how they don't see that.
