Greetings all,

I'm a scenic designer for a haunted house and we are rebuilding our haunt to look like a 1930/40s haunted hotel. I know a lot of video games have hotels in them and would like to ask you guys and gales what ones stand out as the most scary or creepy!! Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!

Theres a Haunted Hotel level in Vampire The Masquarade : Bloodlines

There's also a game called "Dead Mountaineer Hotel", but i can't find that game anywhere.

Sinking Island takes place in a hotel, you might want to check that out.

Hotel Giant, but i don't think that's what you're looking for.

There's a DS game called Hotel Dusk that isn't at all creepy, but the entire games takes place in a hotel from the decades you have in mind, and the graphics do a very good job of showing layout, rooms, furniture, and all sorts of details (including kitchen and boiler room). Other than that, I also recommend the haunted hotel in Vampire Bloodlines.

Yeah okay the Ocean House Hotel kicks ass! Just wish there was a program I could walk through it without having to PLAY through it so I could see it all without the badies. Oh well thanks again!

Hotel for Dogs (DS), Hotel Dusk: Room 215 (DS) and its sequel Last Window: Secret of Cape West (DS). Also, a lot of hidden object games I believe take place in hotels, like Hotel Jane or some such as that. Just search for something like "hidden object game hotel." You'll probably find a lot of results.

Fallout 3 Tenpenny Tower Hotel. The game is also based around your timeline. After you do a certain mission for the hotel you can let a group of ghouls come inside the hotel and destroy the place. After they destroyed the place its looks haunted.

You can use NoClip command on the console.

Add "-console" on your shortcut, without the ".

Then open up console using ~ button.

And write noclip 1

It should allow you to walk trough walls and fly in a sense, so you can check the level out.

FEAR has an abandoned hotel late in-game. It wasn't overly impressive, but it was nice to see how they made it look like it was in state of decay. STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl also has an hotel. It's in Pripyat, the penultimate level, and it's actually a recreation of a hotel that existed. Like the rest of the city, the hotel is abandoned and thus a bit eerie (all the more because old Soviet architecture is a bit gloomy in itself), although in the game it is in the middle of a battlefield where nearly all of the factions of the game try to fight their way to the Chernobyl powerplant.

That's all I can think of for now, how it helps.
