Aliens vs Predator, from the 3 SP campaign's to the survivor mode to the MP I found it to be a very fun game. Due to the fact the MP is now pretty much dead it's a perfect example of a game that would have benefited from an offline bots mode. The graphic's are top knotch and the sound is spot on. It has it's issues and the aliens campaign is way too short for my liking but I still enjoy coming back to it.
Some of my favorite games this gen were either under appreciated or bashed outright- Alpha Protocol, Army of 2 and the 40th Day, Bionic Commando, Captain America: Super Soldier, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, LotR: Conquest and War in the North, WET, and Viking: Battle for Asgard.
I really enjoyed Epic Mickey. Lot of folk complained about it disappointing but I loved it. Felt like playing a 64 platformer again for the first time in years.
Well, I did play and enjoy every CoD this gen, and most people hate them online it seems. I also enjoyed RE5 and that's a rather touchy subject to the "hardcore".
I'm a huge Grand Theft Auto fan. I still play IV every now and then. Unforunately it seems that a lot of people were extremely disappointed with it due to the lack of stuff to do when compared with San Andreas. The way I saw this game being reviewed by users, it seemed it was a total 50/50 situation. Lots of people loved it, lots hated it. I'm among the people that loved it. Still do!

I enjoyed Metroid Other M besides what they did to Samus' character and the 1st person part where you had to look for an object.
It seems like not many people liked Mega Man 9 much either, I loved the challenge, soundtrack, and boss battles. One of my favorite platformers this gen.
SplinterCell Double Agent - Thought this was the best in the series, But hardcore SplinterCell fans will disagree as they see this the beginning of the series getting dumbed down.
FF 13 I enjoy the combat and the story was one of the better story this gen. I can not think of a story from Bioware did as good as a job with the playable characters involvement in the story.
Alice Madness Returns,not sure if people disliked it,more a case of nobody bought it.I enjoyed it,I think it got very average reviews though.Also Enslaved OTTW was fantastic,more people should give that game a chance,they wanted to make another one but again nobody bought it so it got canned,damn shame.
