Games you have more than one copy of (for whatever reason).

I know it's odd to own more than one copy of a game but I'm sure some of you have a few. Name them and state why you have them (if any).

Shenmue 2- (dc) import then later on the (xbox) version for english dubs.

Digital Devil Saga- (ps2) ordered two copies by accident, still have one sealed up.

GTA 3- (ps2) and (xbox) just to see how different they were, I think the xbox version is superior.

GTA: Vice City- (ps2) and (xbox) same as above.

TLoZ collector's disk + the cartridges on Ninty systems.

i Keep 2 copies of Call of Duty WaW and Halos 1-3 i have 2 copies of each because they break easily.

I have 2 copies of FFVII for ps1 as disk 3 had a 'chip' out of it. After getting another copy, i found out the disk worked if my ps1 was upside down!!??

I also have Resi 4 for PS2+GC

FFIV for GBA+DS

And thats it, not as extreme as i first thought.

FF6 - 2 copies. first i got the PSone version, then i got the GBA version because it has no load times and it's easier to pick up and play.

chrono trigger - 4 copies. first i got the PSone version, then i got the japanese SNES one, realized i couldn't read japanese and then bought the US SNES version, but also because the loading times on the PSone version were stupid (5 seconds till it loads the menu!? come on...), and it had cut-scenes that felt unecessary.

Rez - 2 copies. one on PS2, then a japanese sealed version for PS2 also. don't ask why - i just thought it was a bargain at the time, and might be worth something.

I've got RE4 for PS2 and Wii and I also have Okami for PS2 and Wii. I originally bought them on PS2 and then when I bought my Wii the guy was selling those games with it so that's how I got those twice. Now this is somewhat funny, I have 3 copies of Rock Band. First my brother bought just the game. Then I bought a Rock Band bundle to get the extra instruments. Then I purchased an ION Drum Rocker on eBay and the guy selling it included Rock Band 1.

I also have 2 copies of Crackdown because my 360 broke the game and I also have 2 copies of Guitar Hero II for the same reason.

2 copies of Final Fantasy XII - I bought the Collector's Edition at launch. I wasn't really a fan of the game, and even less so of the lame Collector's Edition, but still I ended up picking up a cheap copy of the regular version.

2 copies of Super Mario Kart - I was given a few free SNES games, and it's not like I was going to turn them down.

Also have Max Payne on PS2 and PC through Steam. I picked up a cheap copy of the PS2 version, and then later Rockstar had a sale on Steam so I bought their whole library.

Two copies of the original MGS. One is the Premium Package, a Japan only release I imported that came with a bunch of extras (art book, music, dog tags), and the U.S. version I also bought later on. One to collect, one to play.

The game in my sig. One opened and one sealed; because it is very rare, is a collecter's item, and is a great game to boot. I also consider it one of SEGA's finest hours.

TF2, because its way better on the PC thenthe Xbox

Star Wars Battlefront II for PS2, PSP, and PC

played the battlefront series for years on the ps2 until i realized there were really terribly players online. I decided to move to the pc and start my 3 year journey up the ladders. Then i got a psp and enjoyed battlefront mobile :P

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl ~ Bought retail version, which got destroyed by my DVD-ROM, later replaced it with $5 Steam version
Knights of the Old Republic ~ Bought retail version, then later retail Star Wars: Best of PC pack
Shadow of the Colossus ~ Bought greatest hits version, then bought a "sealed" greatest hits version (thinking it was a factory sealed black label) and I want to buy a factory sealed Wanda to Kyozou JP import and find an actual factory sealed black label NTSC version.

I don't know if they count or not, but I own MGS2: Sons of Liberty, MGS2: Substance, MGS3: Snake Eater and MGS3: Subsistence LE. Though, I'd like to get another copy of Subsistence so I don't wear my LE copy when I want to play it... considering it is worth $250 USD on the open market... used.

Okay so I have a bit of a problem when it comes to this series.... I love it! It was my first 1cc on a shmup at the age of 7-9. It also sparked my love for the genre and my love for konami in the 1980s. I also have multiple copies of Life Force, Salamander, Nemesis, and the Parodius series. They're all from the same family :wink:

EDIT: I also have the GameBoy versions, cell phone games, and toy models of the vic viper...... I also named my chain saw after the Vic Viper :P

I have two copies of Half life 2 and episode one; I own both hl2 and hl2 ep1 for pc and then the orange box for PS3. I used to own two copies of halo combat evolved for xbox, but I forgot why.

Ninja Gaiden Black, because the first copy (used)I bought from Amazon didn't work on my Xbox. I tried to contact the seller to rquest for a replacemnt but they didn't respond so I had no choice but go buy another copy. But later I tried to put the unworking copy into my Xbox 360 to see if it works and to my surprise it works fine!

3 copies of metroid prime, 2 copies of resident evil 4 for the GC....

How do these things happen ?_?

GTA: SA (PC, Xbox): Bought it first for the Xbox, then bought the GTA pack on Steam. The Steam GTAs are kinda buggy, though, and tend to crash on me, so I've been playing SA on the Xbox and loving it. I'll have to fix the problems with the Steam versions sometime.

Doom 3 (PC, Xbox): Bought it for the Xbox first, before I became a PC gamer (in addition to a console and handheld gamer). Then I got the superior PC version off Steam, along with the awesome expansion.

Morrowind (PC, Xbox): Bought it for the Xbox first, again, before I became a PC gamer. My PC version of it, however, is the GotY edition, which has the expansions, while the one I have for the Xbox doesn't.

MGS1 (PS1, GC): I bought the MGS series out of order, and got Twin Snakes prior to the PS1 version. I then got the PS1 version in the MGS Essentials Collection, which I bought primarily to get MGS2: Substance.

MGS2 (Sons of Liberty (PS2), Substance (PS2)): SoL was my first MGS game. Couldn't find Substance at the time. Got Substance later on in the MGS Essentials collection.

MGS3 (Snake Eater (PS2), Subsistence (standalone, PS2), Subsistence (MGSEC, PS2): I have three copies of this game. I got it when it first came out. Then I had to have the extra content and better camera, so I got Subsistence, then I got Subsistence again (but only the main game) when I bought the MGS Essentials Collection for MGS2: Substance.

RE4 (GC, Wii, PS2): Got the GC version first. Then I got the Wii version when I got a Wii, since it was better than the other two console versions. And now I just bought the PS2 version, since I sold my Wii. Unfortunately, the PS2 version is noticeably inferior to the Wii version, even if they have the same content. Oh well, it's still the same excellent game.

Kingdom Hearts: Lost one (it's somewhere though) so bought another one. I also own Final Mix, though it's not exactly the same game.

Final Fantasy X: Through a misunderstanding, my first copy was completely in Spanish, so I got another one.

Monster Rancher 2: The American version and the European version (called Monster Rancher). Classic.

Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess: Got one at launch, then for some reason got another copy (can't remember why).

I have all 3 versions of Psychonauts. And I Also have both versions of both KOTOR I and II in case the restoration project is ever finished.
