GS rates gives games better ratings for money/ if they advertise on there site.
I think it was The Expoding Barrel That formed after a GS Editor gave a game a worse review than he was supposed to give for a game that paid GS advertisment money. (I may be wrong on some of this).

you must mean Kane and Lynch and Jeff
The game was amazing when it came out. Did it deserve a 10? Well, that's debatable.Rocky32189I know it was amazing. I bought it for a friend for his birthday plus I used to have it. I'm just amazed it got 10.
As far as skateboarding games go the only one that might be better than THPS3 is the original. But I do agree with the ten.
It makes sense. The sound department had great music, graphics at the time were great, it had online, gameplay was the best then and was fun as hell.

Um, no they do not. That was an unsubstantiated rumor with less substance than the recent bigfoot "finding".
As for THPS3, I don't know whether it was worth a 10, but it had substantial improvements over its predecessors and revolutionized sports games at the time. I really, really like it.

May not have been the sole reason, but I think that it did contribute to it.
As for TH3, probably a 9ish.

I thought it was MGS 1 and Jeff.
Non the less, you should never just look at the score or only read one review.
Well, sorry. I never look at what Gamespot gives PS2 games. That was the first time I ever have. Seriously. I normally use IGN for reviews. Although sometimes they aren't to bright either.Um... Welcome to 2001
A lot of people laugh at that 10. It's pretty controversial
