I picked up Assassin's Creed 2 on Tuesday for PS3 and my system crapped out in the middle of playing. Would I be able to return the PS3 version and exchange it for the 360 version? Thanks in advance.
The official return policy says Nope. Since its a new item you cannot return it under any circumstances.
That being said the store manager has a bit of leeway in this sort of thing and if you're a regular customer or just pretty nice about asking and explaining your situation, most of them will make an exception.
Yeah, Shoot has it right. New games (once opened) are exchange only. Give the store manager of whatever store you frequent the low down and they may decide to overide the system. They just cant do it often becouse it's logged with corperate.
Just tell the store manager that your ACII is your gutted copy and casually produce the disk in a sleeve followed by asking them if they would like to reserve a copy of one of your other games that you own. It's no different then their approach, right? :P
On second thought, they might not find that humorous.
