GameStop sold me a broken game

It's a used PS2 game. It just freezes up at the opening credit screen. The disc is scratched to ****, but I didn't notice that until I got home and opened it.

Can I get a refund or only exchange it for store credit?

Ok heres what you do, walk in the shop. Throw it at them yelling " It's broken, gimme ma moniez!"

Shrink wrap it and sell it as "new" on ebay.

When I used to work there it was 30 used and 7 new and I believe it still is
