In a bit of a funk at the moment, got some great games in my backlog but lose interest after 10-15 mins playing. Either the game is too hard, leading to frustration and it feeling like work, or it's too easy for any sense of satisfaction.

Any tips for anyone else who's had this?

I find that playing different types of games can help. What games are you trying to play right now that you have no interest? Are they similar in genre, style, or anything else?

I can't get much interest these days in 1st person shooters, no matter if it's set in medieval times or the future. I'm just tired of seeing things from my point of view and aiming and shooting. So I've been playing action/platformer, simulator, puzzle, and sports games.

keep going until you get hooked on one.... this happens to me too. You shouldn't have to force yourself to play a game.

@missionBoo: This usually happens whenever I've been playing too many games for a while. Just relax, take a breather. Go out and do some of your other hobbies if you have any. Trust me, that time away will reinvigorate you. I do it every once in a while to keep from getting burned out.

Out of interest what's your average time getting back into it?
