Gaming Moments You Will Remember For The Rest Of Your Life

Hey all!

What are some of your gaming moments that you will remember forever? For me, it would be when I first saw the Donkey Woman on Red Dead Redemption... I couldn't stop laughing. Yeah I know its ridiculous but it was really funny in my opinion.

There are tons of moments I'll remember from playing GTA IV online with my friends. My favorite was when me and one of my friends (Toby) were running away from another friend (Tyler). Me and toby got in a Annihilator at the airport and took off. A min. later Tyler got there and got a Buzzer. (It was in BoGT) All of the sudden Toby stopped flying and just hovered in one place. I had no idea what he was doing. All he said was "Just jump when I tell you to and do what I do." Not long after that Tyler appered in his Heli, rockets blazing, Toby yelled "Jump!" So we did, just as a our helicoper blew up. I still had no idea why Toby decided to do that but I soon figured out that he was parachuting right towards were the subway goes underground. We landed our parachutes inside the tunnel were we ran to saftey.

Beating the first boss I ever beat in Spawn for the SNES

And

Beating the first collosus in Shadow of the Collusus.

Both times I was filled with awe and adrenaline :)

Every game experience I've ever had that was a 9.5 and above. The entire game lol I haz photographic memory :p

Playing my first JRPG, Super Mario RPG: Legend of The Seven Stars. I'll forget how adventerous it was.

Metal Gear Solid 2. [spoiler] Near the end of the game where Raiden was completely nude and those guards with the glowing red lights came in, and I had to escape using stealth. It was such an awesome moment. [/spoiler] "I need scissors. 61!"

Finally getting Ryu and Ken to do their shoryukens.

The last boss in Super Mario World.

Beating Super Macho Man on the NES.

The amazing Dialogue in Okami as well as the Boss Battles and the Art Style.

I could go on, but I will finish it with the final boss in MGS3.

StarCraftLAN parties, CounterStrike Source, Discovering Metal Gear Solid 1, Playing Cruisin Exotica at arcades, beating those old lightgun games like house of the dead 1 and Jurassic park

Playing Battlefield 2142 when it first came out was a great new experience I will never forget.

Beating ninja gaiden for the orginal xbox, one of the hardest games i ever played

Something that will stay with me for a long time is the opening to Mass Effect 2...Epic...

Final Fantasy 7 - [spoiler] When Ares is killed by Sephiroth [/spoiler]

Mass Effect 2 - The beginning and end of the game.

Fallout 3 - The first time I got out of the vault and into the wasteland.

Legend of Zelda: OoT - The whole game was amazing.

Medal Of Honour Allied Assult - Played with the online community and was well known throughout it for about a year. Snipers only FTW.

Socom Navy Seals (1) - First online game I ever played.

Ultima Online - Took about a years of my life playing free shards.

Then there is plenty experiences in GTA IV Modern warefare and other online games I played with family and friends I won't forget for some time.

i have a lot but on top of my head :-

the battle against Cronos in GOW3

finding the truth about your self in Bioshock 1

finding the truth about your wife in Dead Space

thetwist in kotor, pretty much the entire time playing through oot, playing halo for the first time, the ending of mass effect 1. Thats all i can think of. dkdk999

Yeah, I remeber that one, I was like, WTF! No way!!! :o

My first "online" game which is Amiga Falcon 1v1 dogfight against a friend via 28.8kb modem. As we flew head on merging towards a furball, I was thinking, "Is that really him controlling that plane or is it just the computer?" Then within a few seconds, the other plane latched into my six o clock and I thought, "That's him alright!" :lol:

I remember when I was a kid, me and my friends spent all night taking turns trying to beat Super Monkey Ball 2 for GC, and we finally did it before morning.

Games that were more than just games, they were experiences (Earthbound and Beyond Good and Evil)

Bioshock- [spoiler] When you first encounter Andrew Ryan. [/spoiler]

Duke Nukem Total Metldown- Fighting the battle lord.

FFX- Just the entire game itself was unforgettable.

Fable- When your village is destroyed and you re unite with your mother.

Silent Hill- When you first enter Silent Hill and enter the dream world only to be eaten by thoughs little kids :P.

My goodness their is just too many to name like MGS games, Heaby Rain ect.

I got a new one btw, when I first get to play Duke Nukem Forever xD.

FFX- Just the entire game itself was unforgettable.

The ending credits of Super Mario 64 which scrolled through all the worlds you've been through while lovely, triumphant music plays in the background. It was made to be nostalgic.

Beating Ocarina of Time

OR

Always being able to beat everyone in my family in Banjo Tooie multiplayer. Back then, there were no bots to practice in, so I'd practice (I was 11...) by setting up a game with multiple extra characters, hide them places, and practice sniping them.

The ending of ACII, I was like WTF?

And the ending after the credits of all the MGS games, and when the colonel gets crazy in MGSII?

Beating: Super Mario Bros 3, Ninja Gaiden Black, Super C, Legend of Zelda, Faxanadu, Demon's Souls, Halo (after the big jump on the Warthog on legendary in coop).

Endings: Vagrant Story (my favorite ending, the entire game is epic and very complex), Final Fantasy III/VI with Shadow Alive, Shadow of the Colossus.

Moments: "All your base are belong to us", "suited, booted and ready to be executed", "Reinforcements? I am the reinforcements!".

There are too many to count but these are my favorites.

Bioshock:

You're first encounter with Andrew Ryan.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the ending. I actually found that a pretty sad moment, way better than MW2's ending imo.

Modern Warfare 2: I was watching my friend online, and he did a 360 and just threw a random semtex, I was like "That'd be pretty cool if you stuck someone . . ." STUCK! :P And . . . [spoiler] When Ghost get's shot, that was sad. [/spoiler]

Seeing the Cyberdemon for the first time in Doom.

...and wasting countless hours playing OoT (and regretting it)

Playing OoT for the very first time, and of course finishing it later, it was amazing, truly amazing, and the battle with Ganon is still one of the most Epic feelings in gaming i ever had.

The Battle with Lavos, after so many hours, days and weeks of pure Crono Trigger magic, facing Lavos in it's final form was an amazing moment, the feeling of the end of the journey, man i will never forget it.

Reaching the hangar where the Metal Gear was stored in MGS, in that moment, everything is falling apart, there are traitors, conspirancy, deaths, everything is going to hell, however, you still have one mission, to destroy Metal Gear.

The ending in MGS3 was pure win and to this day one of the best endings in any videogame.

Beating for the first time KOF96, those bosses were cheap as hell, but when i finally beat them for the first time was probably the first time i also finish a figthing game, so yeah, it was a big deal for me.

There are many more, but those are the ones that i remember for the moment.

as others have said the whole experience of ffx. but the main moments are realising i forgot the destruction spehere in bevelle. so i begun a new game over my save. beating luca in the first blitzball tournament, learning the truth about seymour, turning on yunalesca and realising im gna pwn sin for good, and the final scene where tidus dissapears...and i actually felt emotionally connected to a charachter in a game

for me: all of ocarina of time. taking out that fleet of battle ships with the vector cannon in Z.O.E. 2 (along with the final battle). I also find myself laughing at the camping trip and class trip in p4.

FFIX when "You Are Not Alone" is playing.

Oh, and FFX when you're walking through Zanarkand.

While you guys may be talking about general games and broad experiences with those games... I'm going to mention a very specific moment in Ocarina of Time. It is when you finally get Epona and need to get to Gerudo Fortress. Before that, there was the broken bridge getting in the way, but not when you have Epona.

Those few seconds where the camera pulls back and shows link and epona jumping over the bridge is a moment in gaming i will never forget. i dont know why but that is one time where i seriously sat back and was like "woah"

I just remembered the first time a friend was showing me Pong on the Atari video console. I remember him saying. "Ain't this great?" I remember saying, "That is great? You got to be kidding me. That's boring as hell. Yuk!". :lol: Well it was. Who wanted to see a white vertical bar on tv with a plain white circle bouncing off it? It got better when Asteroids came out.
