I have a first Generation XBOX 360, and I originally bought GTA IV for the 360. Well after GTA IV freezes every minute for me on the 360, I ended up re-buying Grand Theft for my PS3. I have not had any problems with the game since I've played in on my PS3 (I have the 80 gig PS3).

This has left me with a salty taste in my mouth about my 360. They have not even came up with any type of fix for the XBOX 360 version. With this said, I'm on the fence about keeping my 360, and rolling the rest of the console generation with my PS3. With GTA IV and Metal Gear getting all of my time on my PS3, I'm really having huge reservations about keeping the 360. Most games these days or multi-console, but I'm really pissed about off at Microsoft. What do you guys think?

I'm done with GTA 4 so I'm selling mine before going to university. It's a noisy launch console and I'll probably just buy a new quieter one next year. Basically the 360 is a great console but aside from Gears and Fable 2 it is going to be pretty dull as far as exclusives go.

Go on and sell it, just make sure you get your moneys worth. To me (Games-wise) there is no reason to have a 360 if you have a PS3 and vise-versa because, exclusives aside, their core game selections are too similar.

Do whatever you want. I prefer the 360. But maybe its because you have the first gen console. PS3 is a great console, you will have alot of fun playin git.

Have fun :D

I also have an early launch version of the Xbox 360 and it annoys the hell out of me. Just about every game I put in it gives me the "please insert this disc in an Xbox..." message, its loud, and often interrupts out of a game to tell me to clean the discs with a soft cloth, even if the discs are pristine. However, if I do, I will likely drop out of this generation of consoles altogether and just stick with the PC. Almost all games make it there anyway, and to be honest, across both the Xbox and the PS3 the games this generation have all pretty much sucked with a few exceptions. Trully this is the most dissapointing generation for the games themselves. The consoles are very next gen, and graphics are nice, but game development has been sucking like a black hole. GTA4 was fun, but hardly revolutionary and short lived. NG2 imho is massively dissapointing, its real pretty but has no substance at all, and the cheap and frustrating attempt at making it difficult is a sad way to follow up NG on the Xbox which was in fact trully challenging. From Halo 3 to NG2 there have just not been very many great games or even good games on the systems, and the few greats are short lived. Assassin's Creed is awesome, but 10 hours later its over, roughly the same for DMC4 which owned face, but ends pretty quick and for some reason just doesn't have the replay value of its predecessors. RB6V2 rocks, but I have played that now for 2 months, and I am finding just very few long lasting and worthwhile games to hold my attention this push. So I may also end up selling my Xbox 360 but for some additional reasons to those listed by the OP.

Every time I've sold a console I've regretted it. Hang on to it. Chances are you will want to play it again.

I am on my second 360 that can't even seem to sign into my profile half the time without crashing and I'm just fed up. I am saving up to get a PS3 and will get all the games I can for that but will keep the 360 anyway just for exclusives like Too Human and Gears.

But yeah, I'm not impressed, unless there are exclusive title you want on the 360 I would trade it.

I truly understand and agree with you about everything you said in your posts. The main thing you said that sticks out is how this generation of games have not been too good. I feel the game developers really depended on HDTV's and High Definition to sell consoles. The early generation 360 games looked like normal XBOX games. This generation of games came out well too early IMO. A prime example would be the first two Madden games on 360. They were unplayable, Madden just came bearable to play last year. The reason why I don't like P.C. is because they don't have fighting and sports games I like, like Fight Night and the NBA 2K8 series. I wish that it would get through game developers heads that every game doesn't have to be 3D. I feel that the art of 2D and 2.5D is gone. You can still make a great Action Game from 2D or 2.5D, Viewtiful Joe is a great example. IMO 2D or 2.5D would still be the ultimate choice for the Ninja Gaiden series. I hate that damn camera in that game, it feels like there is no type of motive in playing Ninja Gaiden. What do you guys think?

That was Rockstars fault...I´ve heard about freezes on both consoles.
