10 years ago I was playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Jedi Knight, and a whole bunch of PS1 and N64 games, including Goldeneye, Mario 64, Shadows of the Empire and many more
2001 huh? I am old so my memory is pretty bad but I do know that in December 2001 I got FFX when it released so that is as close as I can remember to todays date:P
it was something on my N64, but obviously i dont know the exact game. i still play a lot of my favorites from back then, but the zeldas are the ones i return to the most. i last played majora's mask no more than a year ago.
Gran Turismo 3 - Last time I remember playing that was in 2008.
Black & White - No idea when I last played that.
Grand Theft Auto 3 - Again, no idea.
Counter-Strike - Used to play it a lot. Now, barely ever. Last time I played it was for 30 minutes a few weeks ago, but that was the first time in a few years.
I was playing Banjo-Tooie and The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask (I got games a bit late back then) and replayed some of my favorites such as Star Fox 64 and Super Smash Bros. and on christmas I got the gamecube along with Super Smash Bros. Melee, I wonder what would I answer if someone asks me this in 10 more years ...what was I playing in 2011....
oh yeah and it has been like 8 years since I played Majora's Mask, and both super smash bros. I play them regularly with friend so it has been no more than 6 months, oh and Banjo Tooie I played it like 4 months ago since I have it on XBLA.

Nothing probably; that was in the middle of a time when I went a few years playing almost no games. Somewhere in there I did rent Majora's Mask, but other than that I didn't really get back into playing games heavily until Wind Waker came out.
Ten years ago would have been res, I guess. So lots of LAN stuff. I remember playing Warcraft 2, Serious Sam, Quake, etc. Also Smash Bros Melee - although that might not have been exactly 10 years, as I think it came out in November. That with four players, the original Smash Bros, Mario Kart 64, Monkey Ball, Goldeneye, and others. As far as singleplayer stuff, I was probably replaying Diablo 2 and Baldur's Gate 2 periodically, I remember playing Jedi Knight, Giants: Citizen Kabuto, and who knows what else.
Hard to remember exactly... At the time I was playing a lot of games from the late 90s, but MGS2, GTAIII and Max Payne come to mind. BF 1942 was released around that time as well I believe and I played that like crazy.
10 years ago, I was playing kick-ass games like Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon for PSX. I also played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64, Earthworm Jim on the N64 and, the Sonic games for the SNES, as well as Super Mario 64, and a few others I'm sure.
I just had a PS2 back then, I didn't get into the Gamecube or Xbox until Resident Evil 4 and Halo 2 were released. I was pretty much playing whatever was recently released at that time like Metal Gear Solid 2 and Final Fantasy X.
PC: Diablo 1 and 2 , Radix beyond the void some random shooting game on an alien planet and tribes 2, for the N64 was preety much golden eye and mortal combat as for the last time i played it was last night and black ops- map array team death match for PC
I barely remember diddly from 2001 in way of games. But my parents had a PlayStation so I played a lot of Ape Escape and Gran Turismo 2. I also tried my hand at FFVII but I could never get past the robotic scorpion.
Played the former about four months back and finally got past that dreadful monster (magic, the greatest thing to happen EVER).
2001? I was playing my GBA in my school's playground.... don't remember which game though :(

Back in middle school we would all bring our GBs and games to school and lend them out to one another and all we ever did was talk about how great they were. Like one friend brought the Hey Arnold game and some guy brought a wrestling game and then another person brought Driver and a Ren and Stimpy game it was like the greatest thing ever~!
Like a mini-GB club that just started with a few people sitting on the gravel. :)
Ten years ago? Man...one of the best years in my life, gaming or non-gaming wise. I miss 2001...
That being said, I remember playing a lot of Final Fantasy X at the time, which was on the Playstation 2. It remained my favorite role-playing game on that system until my first Tales game, Tales Of The Abyss, came into my life.
Mariokart 64, Goldeneye, Mario 64, Shadows of the Empire, Perfect Dark, Mario Party, Super Smash Bros, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario tennis, Banjo series, World is not enough [007],super man 64 [just kidding],Tony Hawks, Doom, Duke Nukem, Turok, WCW/WWF wrestling games, Resident evil, fighting force, NBA hangtime, Rush, Army men & Im sure theres many more.
Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 and I think Smash Bros Melee came out around that year too.....Dang those were some awesome games, and I started playing Paper Mario again on my N64 :)
Mostly going through the N64's backlog. They were all very cheap by then. The only new release I bought was probably Paper Mario. Tried playing it a couple years ago, it has aged too much.
