OK,

I just started playing the very first God Of War and I'm loving it.

However, just started finding the Gorgon Eyes, and there was a chest I didn't open behind bars.

I finished the level but never got the chest and the game progressed.

Is there anyway to go back a level and finish all I missed?

If not, how important is it? Like, if I miss an Gorgan Eye or something similar, am I forever out of luck in advancing the character?

I wish there was a way to tell if you left stuff behind/undone before leaving.

If you miss a chest, then another chest that would normally hold red orbs, would now be carrying a phoenix feather or a gorgon eye.

Sweet. Thank you for that information. That's really good game design IMO.

Wow, no kidding? I think that is a little stupid. I remember I missed a phoenix feather chest...Seems cheap that they just let you have it else where.

Your point? It's not online or anything, there's no multiplayer that would allow for unfair advantage. It's providing a single player with another chance at a rare item. You still have to find the next chest.
