Besides paper mario, are there any good RPGs for the N64? I know it had memory problems, but I have never even heard of an average RPG on the system.

nope just paper mario quest 64 sucks it used to give me headaches while playing itkemar7856Quest 64 was teh awesum!! :P Honestly, I don't know what it was about the game, but I loved. I've played through it twice and part of a third.
[QUOTE="leisure_suit"]I'm surprised no one's mentioned Ocarina of Time yet.K1LLR3175That is not really classified as an RPG,OOT is more of an action adventure game with some RPG elements.
For some reason, I want Ocarina of Time to count as an RPG as well. I don't really know why, though. It is clearly an action adventure game.

N64 didn't believe in Good RPGs. Paper Mario broke through, but that's about it. The rest were 1st person shooters, action/adventure games, and other stuff like that.
Btw, many people consider Legend of Zelda to be an RPG. I still don't know where I stand on that. But, either way, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were great games
Outside of Paper Mario, there's not much there. Ogre Battle 64 was good, and I enjoyed Quest 64 even though it was flawed.Yagr_Zero
I second that. A lot of people called it mediocre, but they forgot what it was trying to achieve: being a first time RPG for kids who have never ventured outside of Pokemon. When I played this game as a kid (OK, I ventured outside Pokemon, but only to Dragon Warrior Monsters), I liked it. I didn't get it, but I liked it. Years later, I get it and like it.

Actually, that makes a whole lot of sense. I never thought of it that way. Please Log In to post.
