There wasn't any bad JRPGs on the SNES... zh666
Ever play Magic Knight Rayearth? Breath of Fire (not bad, but mediocre)?

Magic Knight Rayearth was a Saturn game, and Breath of Fire is one of my favorite RPGs of all time..
A Saturn game, but not Saturn exclusive...

Yeah, it was.
Unless there was an different Magic Knight Rayearth that was released for the Super FAMICOM, then that would be a different arguement.

I provided a link. Click the dot dot dot. I played it, beat it, and noticed that I hadn't gotten up. Its a short game.
That's not a SNES game, it's a Super Famicom game. zh666
What the hell's the difference, besides name and appearence? Strip that away (along with any region lock), and you have the same thing.

because the original poster was clearly not talkin about imports, and I was clearly not talking about them either.

Still, some of the best SNES games are imports. I'd list them off, but I've humped them too much as it is. Besides, Famicom is Nintendo in Japanese :P.
There was more than enough RPGs being released to America to bother with Imports, and yes I know what the Famicom is.. zh666
But once you blasted through Final Fantasy, Lufia, Breath of Fire and a few other JRPGs, you'd probably want more. Why not include Dragon Quest, Bahamut Lagoon, Fire Emblem, Terranigma, Rudra, and others?

There was quite more, like 7th Saga, Paladins Quest, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, Mario RPG, blah blah blah.. plus the Genesis RPGs at the time too, it was hard enough to keep up with all of those when you're a kid, why would I bother buying expensive Import games that I couldn't read?
or did you just download a bunch of roms?

7th Saga was way too hard, haven't played Paladin, Soul Blazer was pretty good, Illusion of Gaia was WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too linear, liked that one, unlikeable protagonist, way too short, sucked hard, pretty good but not as good as Paper Mario, and there is a reason why I'd import all those games: I beat all the other ones. Yes, after you've beaten all the major ones, what else are you going to go for? Shadowrun? That Treasure dungeon hack on the Genesis? And I can still enjoy a game I don't understand (proven by playing DQ4 on the PS1).
And you caught me, but don't mention it here :(.
I beat 7th Saga twice with two different characters.
Was you around when these games were originally released?
zh666
Really? I only beat it once, with an elf-girl/robo-tank combo.
Depends on what you mean by around :P.
I appreciate all the replies! I have also played Secret of Evermore as someone suggested... I never could get into Earthbound, but maybe I'll give it a try one day. The graphics just looked too kiddy or whatever but I've heard it's really good so we will see.
I also may want to play Mario RPG again... beat it when I was in 4th grade or something with some friends lol can't really remember it. Heard it was good too tho!
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the ever-popular ShadowRun.Rej72380
That's because its a WRPG, and they usually suck. At least from my experience.
I hear the Y s Series is amazing. You should look into it.Mage_7
Yes it is, excellent series.
Shaowrun for the SNES was also another great RPG. I believe all the others were already said but Ill try to make a list...

These are all Ive played and beat, I dont really remember any others...
I'll offer my opinion where I can:
Can't, really, mainly because I stopped after the NES piece of crap.
SUCKED BIG TIME.
Pretty good, but still had that disconnected feeling. Choosing levels directly in an RPG isn't a good idea. Plenty of other good ideas, though.
Eh, this one was technically good, but way too linear.
Awesome. Just so awesome.
Don't know.
4 was good, 5 was OK, 6 brilliant, don't know Mystic Quest.
All good games.
Don't know.
Gotta add some of these to my list of games to beat.
Is that on the Brawl site :??
Pretty damn good.
SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK SUCK!
Haven't played.
Although a good RPG, it's one of those that I can never finish. Weird.
Haven't played.
Look up.
Kinda OK, but why the 3 story thing? Confusing. Killing your enemies with swears (like you're AVGN or Cartman) was cool :P.
Don't know.
Pretty good games.
Good, but really, really short.
Don't know.
Bad. Too easy to get lost, average gameplay, forgettable story and this whole unfinished feel.
Too. Much. Grinding.
Don't know.
First one had the right idea, but not the execution. Second one was much better, though.
AWESOMENESS.
These last two satisfy, but for unknown reasons :P.
