The Gran Turismo website shows that there will be THREE editions of Gran Turismo:

http://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/news/d14080.html

A standard edition:

"Standard Edition
More than a thousand cars, a global community of racers, the world's most iconic racetracks and the drive of a lifetime – that's Gran Turismo 5. Experience astounding realism, pulse-raising physics, high-speed thrills and a full tank of international motoring glamour as you race against friends at home or online against champions from around the world, and build yourself a stable of the finest cars ever to have graced the tarmac anywhere. One of the world's best-selling driving games is back, packed with new features, new rides and new experiences that'll take your life into the fast lane like never before. "

A Collector's Edition:

"Collector's Edition
A highly-desirable upgrade for serious racers and motoring fans, this eye-catching edition comes with plenty of added horsepower inside its high-end collector's box. As well as the game itself, you'll get:

• Exclusive Special Edition inlay sleeve art
• 200+ page 'Apex' driver's magazine with hints on driving technique, car tuning, future technologies and more
• Five Collector's Edition artcards featuring exclusive artwork
• In-game 'ChromeLine' vehicle pack: five performance-enhanced cars ready to race
• Exclusive dynamic theme to customize your PS3 XMB"

A Signature Edition:

"Signature Edition
Reminiscent of a no-expense-spared supercar launch, this luxury edition puts the pedal to the metal as soon as you open its contoured steel case – which is finished in Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 'Obsidian Black'. As well as the game, the 'Apex' driver's magazine and the ChromeLine car pack, you'll get:

• An exclusive, branded Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG 1:43 scale model car
• A Gran Turismo leather wallet and metal Gran Turismo key fob
• A Signature Edition coffee table book featuring the beautiful cars and locations of Gran Turismo
• A bespoke Gran Turismo 5 USB key with a trailer showing the collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and Polyphony that brought the SLS AMG to screen
• Six additional in-game 'Stealth' cars including the McLaren F1 and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and a dynamic theme
• For those 18 or over and resident in a participating country, the chance to win a real-life Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG – your very own gull-winged, 6.3-litre-engined supercar - in a competition like no other! Full terms and conditions will be made available shortly here on www.eu.gran-turismo.com.

The Signature Edition competition will be open to residents of the following countries;
• UK
• Ireland
• Germany
• Austria
• France
• Switzerland
• Portugal
• Spain
• Italy
• Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway
• Greece
• Czech Republic
• Russia
• Poland
• Australia
• New Zealand
• South Africa
• UAE
• Saudi Arabia"

At the bottom of the page it says:

"What's more if you pre-order your Standard or Collector's Edition you also might be lucky enough to get hold of one of a selection of exclusive in-game vehicles including the Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model, Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model, Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model, Mazda 787B Stealth Model, McLaren F1 Stealth Model, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model.
Are you ready for the drive of your life? The Gran Turismo 5 Standard Edition, Collector's Edition and Signature Edition for PS3 arrive this November."

What I've infered from this is that pre-ordering the Standard or Collector's Edition of the game MIGHT get you one of six special cars, but buying the Signature Edition will GUARANTEE you getting all six special cars.

You can get the Signature Edition from Game for...

..........................................................................

£149.99

A whooping amount that is. See for yourself:

http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid=14196&cm_mmc=update-_-wk2710a-_-leadFeature-_-gt5

Despite the price, I'll be getting the Signature Edition.

What will everybody else be getting?

I'll be getting the North American Collectors edition (99.99). As much as I would love the gran daddy edition, Its doesn't seem to be available in my region, nor would I pay for it when I can use that money for a G27. Still, this is my most awaited game beating out SC2 (barely) so even the regular edition seems crazy packed worth of content.

Ah, no America, and they even included Nascar in the game...

They could have made a lot of money there.

I wanted to get a G27 but saw a G25 on eBay and as those things are discontinued, thought that I might as well get one.

Had it since 2008 August.

And what is SC2?

I'm guessing SC2 is Starcraft 2?

Ah, looks like you read it wrong: "The Signature Edition competition will be open to residents of the following countries" Note that it says COMPETITION, so you'll still be able to get the Signature Edition.

Meh, I don't really care for the Signature Edition if I won't have a chance to win the real car. Although I'd rather have the scale Mercedes SLS AMG than the scale Nissan GTR, it is not worth the extra $100 (Signature Edition is $200 if I import it and the Collector's Edition is only $100).

I don't want to spend an extra $100 to get 6 stealth cars. lol. The price of the US Collector's Edition is $100 and the price of the Signature Edition is 150 Euros which is $200.

I'm thinking of getting my older brother (a mad Gran Turismo fanatic) the GT5 Collector's Edition (Signature Edition is $300 Australian, no thanks-could get a console for that!) for Christmas.....then I'm to decide whether I want the same thing for myself, the Force Unleashed 2 Collector's Edition, or depending on the news with The Last Guardian and the Team ICO bundle, a pre-order for The Last Guardian.

Those are the three main things on my 'wish-list'......

Wait and see.....I'll end up with all three of them either way, and definitely can't wait to show all my friends what they are missing 8) (j/ks).
