Grand Theft Auto 4 vs. Saints Row 2 (pre-release battle-a-thon)

Okay so, we still have awhile before these games are upon us...so I want to debate which game will be better! I'm sure most will say GTA 4...but let's see!

Grand Theft Auto 4 is boasting a lot of new features, but it seems like Saints Row 2 is looking to add more features than even GTA.

The first one-up for Saints Row goes to the fact that you can create your own character. Now, besides the absolutely hideous hairstyles in Saints Row, the character customization was really fun. It especially got fun when you got to the point where you just covered your character in outfits and bling and what not. GTA has the clothing down, but it remains to be seen if you can customize it as much.

GTA has a voice actor. Now supposedly in Saints Row 2 you will be able to choose a voice for your character, so let's hope he actually gets some lines, but for now I have to assume his lines will be sparse, if even existent, so this one goes to GTA

Graphics...it's hard to say! GTA 4 looks amazing! But Saints Row just completely destroyed GTA in the graphics department originally. True there was a generation gap as far as console capability, but still the fact remains. Not to mention, Saints Row 2 will be coming out after GTA 4, meaning more time to look at GTA 4 and up the graphics just to top the competitor.

its hard to say but i've always liked GTA's stories but i liked SR custimization

maybe if gta had custimization

but for now ill say SR2

Anyone that played SR would know that it has manual aiming and you can run about when firing, thats one of thing i love about SR but all the things i love about GTA is gonna be on SR2 and SR2 is gonna be bigger online than the first when GTA4 isn't going to have any part of it online. So SR2 will get my vote in this.
