Now, if it was perfectly done, i think it could be one of the best multiplayer games made, but thats just me. So first of all you start out in plane being transfered to where ever you are going. My thoughts were that it would be a military plane. Before the game starts out you get your choice of a Primary weapon and secondary weapon. So you are traveling with 15 other players or 31 other players. The plane has ran out of fuel and hits a mysterious island/ huge peice of land.

From here on you and you 15 or 31 people survive, random AI die from the planes crash. You then exit the plane and begin trying to survive then you find out that you are not alond on the island, and there is something else like some type of creatures. You then have to stay alive with the other 15 or 31 players for as long as you can by fighting them off with your guns, and start to build shealter so on so for until you get in contact with the military somehow. This game would last for hours until you survive and get out of there, or until you all die.

I dont know, i really liked this idea, please tell me what you guys think of it! and if you feel like it telll what you think a good game would be!

It reminds me of Lost too! It does sound like a cool idea. Very cooperative and less competitive, a different approach.

^this. How would all 16/32 people play together for every session, though? That's an issue that would have to be worked out before I bought this game.

Prospect sounds great, though!

Remind me of lost, however, I like your idea after the crash.

Okey, lets decide the gameplay view, I think the best way is third person over the shoulder camera view just like in MGS4/RE5 or the same as Dead Rising.

Do you have more ideas of how it is supposed to play?

Reminds me of a cross between Lost and Battle Royale.

Battle Royale seems to be the main influence.

Pretty good idea, but wouldn't it basically be Manhunt on an island?

Well, its like manhunt but your working as a team basically, defending yourself trying to stay alive as long as you can until you get some kind of help

I was thinking you would be able to choose the point of view you would want to play from fps would make it a little scarier with these "things" jumping and creeping up on you

Sorry, but Crysis came to mind right away. The island with creatures... same thing bud. Needs to be original. Has a game ever been made based on the tv series, 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" ? I haven't seen a game w/ say, various types of subs for combat. One and two man subs w/ mounted weapons. Yeah, terrorists try to attack our shores from down under and our amphibious boys, the Marines go after them with high tech. subs and high tech. underwater weapons. Underwater sabot rounds, shoulder fired mini torpedos,( like a laws rocket ). Shock wave weapon. Get too close to a shark or barracuda, it's ur hiney. Get around faster unsuspectingly by riding on the back of a huge Manta Ray or Whale Shark that's going ur way. It could look really cool with todays graphics engines and talk about cool cover, there's coral reefs, sunken ships, sea weed and other plants, revines, caves just to explore if ya want. Maybe you'll meet a beautiful mermaid! Ha! Skirmishes could take place on land too. This wouldn't be ur average sub attack game.

This seems to push for a team work and survival based experience, which Crysis is certainly not.

It is a nice concept, but transferring it onto paper, and then hard code would be difficult.

From the sounds of it, each game would have to be an isolated experience. The game starts, stuff happens, it ends. Noone would be able to join mid game, and if a bunch of people just left it would ruin it.

Then consider each game being isolated, how long would it go for?

Anyone who has several hours spare for one online gaming session is already off playing Civilization. ;)
