GTA 5 opinions?

Yet to play this game yet, was waiting for the pc/next gen release tbh, what are your opinions on the game? I don't tend too trust professional reviews due to bias/ being paid off lol.. thanks people :)

Graphics, gameplay, sound, everything is top notch. Only thing I was a little disappointed in was the story. It wasn't that memorable for me. I preferred the story in gta4, but I still give it a 9/10.

Probably the best one in the series.

Technically it's brilliant, and the detail in the world is amazing. However, I found the characters & the story to be a bit bland to be honest... as I did with GTA 4. It's worth a buy, but I certainly don't think it's as good as a lot are making out.

Better than 4?thats not hard man ;)we sure need a pc release soon! a few friends said the writing and story were really good, especially the story for a gta, thanks for the opinions though peopless.

Also keep in mind that there will be future story dlc to look forward to after you beat the game and rockstar is known for producing great dlc.

It was my favorite GTA game. Much, much better than IV which I thought was crap.

the graphics and gameplay and world are amazing.

The story and humor is stale and forgettable.

for me, the most overrated game of all-time (gta4 and tlou) and if I were you i'd definitely wait and get the pc version.

Great game in almost every aspect.

The gunplay is still a tad unsatisfying imo tho, and the guns all feel really similar, you don't feel any difference between an ak, m4 or g36c but it can be forgiven because of the decent amount of weapons and it being a third person game, not an fps.

The world is great to explore though the minigames are still mostly pointless and unsatisfying.

Driving feels great,humour is top notch.

Framrate is a tiny bit sluggish at times but that's also forgiveable for a console game that's this immense. It's still a technical masterpiece as is.

It's hard not to reccommend.

Best in the series

I played it almost non-stop for 6 weeks and haven't touched it since, but it's technically probably the best GTA. It doesn't do everything better than some games out there, but as a whole it's an awesome game with a lot to do and vastly improved from GTAIV. The online was a little disappointing, though I still put some decent time into it and enjoyed some of what there was to do. I'm just hoping there will be at least 1 single player expansion down the line. It's nice they're supporting the Online portion, but I don't really care about that anymore, so bring on SP DLC.

Fun game. Many are still waiting for the heists and some other dlc that rockstar says they will be releasing though. Other than that, it's worth playing! And yes, it is better than GTA 4.

Played about 6 hours of it, of what I played it seems fun.

The game discourages exploration or experimentation by giving your characters the mortality of a wet paper bag, and even if you do explore there's really nothing worth finding. The "humor" is hamfisted to the point it's rarely ever funny. All of the main characters and most of the side characters are incredibly irritating and unlikable. The story goes nowhere. The gameplay primarily consists of driving back and forth between cutscenes of people yelling at you, with a simplistic cover shooter segment thrown in every half hour. There's some fun to be had despite all of this though.

It's a 5/10.

Simply but, it's the best game I have ever played, it's a combination of the best things about the series, yeah, the story is not as good as GTA IV, but story had to sacrifised (story is still great though) to make the gameplay as good as it is, and that is how games should be made since gameplay is the most imporant aspect of a game, NOT story.

My 2nd favourite GTA behind San andreas but it pushed that to the very end.

I will definitely replay it soon as i really enjoy the game and as soon as the new story dlc is out I will put this sucker in and go on a rampage with the psycho known as TREVOR PHILLIPSB-)

Awesome, some mixed opinions, but it seems awesome, maybe some pc mods will fix the issues the game has.

PetGel are you trying to say all guns feel the same or mostly machine guns feel the same? sounds like they took a step back and a step foward in some aspects.. i bet its still epic! :)

Also someone mentioned all you do is go back an forth.. like Skyrim then with the fetch quests? no body ever really mentions that though which is strange.. lol thanks though people! roll on pc/next gen release.

Hopefully Rstar keep to their roots and not just go all out on mp in the future.. keep these great games comingg! sp portion anyways :)

Quantity over Quality (Rockstars Motto... They have it written down somewhere in latin)

GTA V is alot of fun, but most of the fun is to be had online. Since Rockstar decided to skip PC, i'm stuck paying 50+ a year for xbox live. Since you've waited this long, I would keep waiting until a pc release date is announced.

But if your not interested in multiplayer, GTA V is awesome even on consoles.

It is an incredible game, but i do think that it lost a bit of that magic that previous GTA games had

i enjoyed the story, like you are watching a movie. especially with the adding of three characters.each on of them has his own background, ambition, dreams. i enjoyed playing it and honestly it's the best GTA yet.

GTA V in terms of story is by far the weakest and its clear that having 3 protagonists didn´t help it one bit.

Gameplay, graphics, size might be better than any previous but for me all that counts is the story. so GTA v is ok but not the best GTA game.

The heist missions were fun, but most of the rest of the game wasn't. Throughout the game I was saying to myself that Rockstar should have handed the game over, before its release, to Volition Studios, the makers of the Saints Row Series, to trim off the fat and to spice the game up with much more fun. Yes, this is what I was thinking.

I did play GTV and played all 3.25 endings. I haven't played on-line.

The graphics are great but, Rockstar needs to take lessons from Volitions Studios when it comes to spicing things up with fun.

Has the story ever been anything big in these gamss though? VC and SA definately didn't have strong storys but the characters were the best bit, really? its not that fun? the only positive i've heard off near enough everyone was that the game was silly fun.

fun. but everyone was led on to think it would be like heist after heist. which its not. and the tank ruined the whole online.
