What system do you have?
I hear a lot of good things from Titan's Quest... I may pick it up this week.MyopicCanadian
If you are going to get Titan Quest, be sure to get the expansion "Titan Quest:Immortal Throne", it improves the original in many ways and adds alot of content too.
I'm looking for some more, because I absolutely love these kind of games. I've played both Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance games, what others are there?HUNK-007
On the PS2 or Xbox grab Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Fallout Brotherhood. I would also HIGHLY recommend, and this is PS2 only, the Champions of Norrath games, which are very similar to Baldur's Gate, though longer, more customization, and random dungeons.
On PC, as mentioned, Diablo 2 and Titan Quest. I also recommend Alien Shooter Vengeance.
Nox is a very overlooked but brilliant hack-n-slash game for the PC...Apollo5000
Oh yeah, that wasn't bad. A bit on the short side though.
Diablo 2. It's old but it's probably still one of the best ones out there.Robio_basicAgreed, D2 is still the king of theis genre. You should be able to nab the Diablo battlechest or whatever that has Diablo, Diablo 2, Throne Of Bhaal and a strategy guide for $30-$40. Fantastic online play with D2 as well.

Oh, totally forgot about that one! I loved Nox. I don't think it's too short if you play all three character types. Actually, I never finished the Wizard, even though it was so much fun playing as one. I should finish it :)

Thanks for the suggestion, I have heard much the same in reviews. Just picked them both up today!
People have mentioned some good games (unfortunately, with no PS2 you're missing out on the fantastic Champions of Norrath series, which is like Dark Alliance, but better, albeit buggier).
However, I have a public service announcement - under no circumstance should you purchase Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel. First and foremost it's a terrible Fallout game but even as a hack and slash RPG it's really, really boring. You can get new weapons and skills and armor and such, but doing so is about as exciting aswatching numbers go up, since the graphics and sound are just plain bad and hitting enemies has a very insubstantial feel to it. I bought it, hated it, and now I have a copy kicking around because no one wants it and the EB clerk cries every time I pull it out.
Yeah I finished that monstrosity unfortunatley, it is a hideous, horrible game in almost every aspect and a bubbling, festering wart on the series name.People have mentioned some good games (unfortunately, with no PS2 you're missing out on the fantastic Champions of Norrath series, which is like Dark Alliance, but better, albeit buggier).
