Would you rather see EVERY SINGLE Zelda game be remade, or would you rather see efforts toward a new title?
You know cause we all already played the fricken games BACK THEN.
Your honest opinion please.

The argument for remakes is that they don't take away time from the main developers who could be working on a new game in the series. Remakes are generally done by other random developers and I imagine they're fairly cheap to do otherwise we wouldn't be hearing about a new remaster every damn week.
All that said, I'm still mostly annoyed by remasters. I think they're perfectly fine for older games. But all these games from the previous gen getting remastered has gotten a bit ridiculous. This current gen's library is just flooded with games from last gen.

Yeah this... most of the remakes are done by separate teams, so that point is moot.
And to be honest, I've appreciated being able to have some of my favourite games on this gen. Having MCC is like a dream to me!
I'd like to see more new titles, but sometimes it's nice to play an old favorite with a fresh coat of paint.
I'm not tired of remakes at all myself. I played Twilight Princess when it first came out on the Wii and I still have the game but I'm very much looking forward to getting the HD remake this Friday on the Wii U. I'm also really looking forward to Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 of which I also played and still have the originals. I'm definitely really pumped for the Resident Evil 2 remake as well. There's a lot of games that I've played through in the past that I'd love to see get the remake treatment.
I would pay twice as much for original NFS HS or NFS PU remake, then buy latest NFS s**t... So, yes, I`d rather see remake.
How about Resident Evil 4, you wanna play that again?

Honestly, I`m not a big fan of RE (I did like 3-th game though). I`m more into Silent Hill. Would I play SH3 remake? Absolutely! And yes, I do know it was released, now I`m still playing Downpour. Lack of free time sucks.
meh, doesn't bother me. Some of them are interesting and I want them, and some of them I just ignore. I've never felt "put upon" by the practice, and don't see any hard evidence that it takes away from gamerdom in general - we still have plenty of new games coming out constantly.
I have absolutely no problem with remakes and I get excited whenever a remake of one of my old favorite games is announced.
People that think that remakes prevent developers from releasing new games are wrong. Remakes take very little resources and are usually done by a small, separate team while the main team continues to work on new games. Plus, remakes are cheap to make and usually sell very well which brings in money that the developers can then use to fund the new games.
Don't care for them and never buy them. If they want to keep making them for those that do enjoy them it's fine by me, but don't try and act like it's a big favor to all gamers. If the game was that great most of us already played it.
Not as long as they give younger gamers a chance to experience older games. But I do think that they shouldn't necessarily be 'remade' but released as they were originally but made compatible for newer systems.
Look another pointless QQ thread (also remake =/= remaster).
Also LoZ is probably the worst game/series to use for this type of pointless discussion since we've gotten two new LoZ games the past 2 years and another one in the works that should be out within the next year.
I don't mind remake or remaster especially if I didn't have the system the original game came on.
as for Zeldas ... meh I prefer 2d Zeldas like "A link between world" and "a link to the past", the only 3 one that I did enjoy is Wind Waker
Games are approached now in a very similar manner to films, and I think it sucks. It's just like anything else, the placement and context. Some remakes are awesome, like Black Mesa. Most are not needed. This is what happens when shareholders pull the reins on creative people. One good thing happens, and "Oh! One time it happened, so lets try it 10 more times! That will be 10 times better, right?!"
I both like and dislike remakes.
The dislike is obvious because I would rather see new releases than remasters, with that said however.
I *never* owned a PS3 last generation, I was a 360 man. So getting to finally play games like The Last of Us and God of War 3, and better versions at that, I love.
I'm totally cool with PS titles getting remade. I missed a ton of them.
Wish to God they'd remaster Max Payne 3. ONe of the best games I ever played.
@TheHighWind: No. I think the best part about remakes isn't that we've already played many of them, it is that they will more than likely still be here in the future.
Microsoft seems to be getting very dedicated to making a universal game platform and wants to make Xbox backwards and forwards compatible through upgrades in the future. That means most of these remakes that are coming out now will most likely still work on the Xbox Two next gen. Where the devs will just need to add a patch or two to make it run on newer hardware and you will be away.
They will run faster on the future hardware as well. THE biggest issues with consoles for me is that once a gen is over it is generally in the past. IF I could play games from last gens faster and better that would only be a good thing. There are THOUSANDS of games in previous gens all the way back to the PS1 that I never played. It would be SOOOO much better if I could just pick up a cheap copy and play them all on a single console.
People have grown accustomed to having multiple consoles. To keeping hold of their old consoles. I still have my PS1, don't have a PS2 and I got a PS3 at the end of last gen. It would be a lot more convenient to not need three consoles though. On PC you only need ONE system and it plays everything. Even the original DOOM.
Emulation is hard to do. PS3 emulation is borderline impossible thanks to the stupidly designed CELL processor. If remakes are a way of getting last gen games into the future then I am perfectly okay with that.
