Ok so as some of you might know I have a fondness for Sonic games (even though I didn't really grow up with them back in the day). Throughout this year I've played every Sonic game that's been released this gen (including all the Wii games). Well to get to the point, I recently beat Sonic Unleashed and enjoyed it alot (best 3D Sonic game to date IMO) and thought I had played them all. Then I notice the Sonic next-gen game that was released way back at the start of this gen which I hadn't seen much of other than the cover art, so I got intrigued. a couple of days ago I passed by the local gaming store to check up on the games I had up for sale and the clerk informed me that 2 games were sold (UC1 and 2 if you're curious) with a grand total of 60$ (give or take a few bucks). As I waited for the clerk to get my money I browsed the used PS3 games shelf and noticed Sonic next-gen on sale for 26$ (give or take). I caved in I had the clerk deduct that amount of money from my grand sale total to get the game. I get home, pop it in and I'm dealing with its issues pretty well, the "city" aspects I can handle. But it went all wrong when the first stage began. My god he's so slow, no wonder Unleashed got so much positive feedback with the day stages. Sonic's running on next-gen is a snail's pace compared to Unleashed. So yeah, I still wanna spend some time with the game but the "slow speed" is a turn-off. Might consider using a save file to see if there are any cheat goodies just so that I can get my money's worth outta it. Is there an extra feature like that? If there isn't then I guess I'll just put it up for sale with the same price once I visit the store again. What do you consider to be your dumbest gaming decision this year? Mine's this Sonic story while 2nd place goes to buying Madworld at full-price.
Hey, at least you didn't buy DJ Hero or Tony Hawk RIDE. I think my dumbest decision was not buying more memory for my computer when it was cheap back in April. The price has more than doubled since then.
