MY Xbox 360 just red ringed on me. And while I figure out how to send it in or whatever. I purchased Call of Duty 4 again on the PS3. Just because I want to keep playing the multiplayer. I was wondering if anyone out there had ever made full price for a game you already own just onb a new system for whatever reason?

I had Pandora Tomorrow on Xbox and bought it again on PS2 just to play with a friend. Same thing with COD 4, first the 360 then the PS3 version.

I'm kinda the same way. I sell my games and buy them back way too often. I've slowed down a bit lately and am trying to hang on to stuff. However, I've got games like Oblivion where I owned the 360 version until my 3rd 360 died on me. I then picked up the PS3 version of the game, which I later sold to get the 360 version of the game when The Shivering Isles came out. Then I sold the 360 version to get the PS3 GOTY Edition because I like how it runs on the PS3. I suspect that here in a few months I will will sell the PS3 version for the PC version when I get a good gaming PC. Shenanigans!

It doesn't happen too often, but I've been guilty of it when it comes to RPGs. When I'm playing a really long RPG and finally finish it, my gut reaction is "I'll never play it again. I don't want to reinvest that much time in that game again." And that's even if I enjoy it. But eventually after a year goes by I start thinking about how much I enjoyed it and wind up buying it again.

The one time it worked out for me was with Dragon Quest VIII. I bought it the day it came out for $50, and played it like I hadn't played a videogame in years. Just non-stop. Two and a half weeks later I finished it (with both endings) and decided I couldn't sink that much time in it again. I sold it for $30 at Gamestop since it was still very new. Then a year later, bought it again, but for only $20. So the way I look at it, I came out $10 ahead, and still have a great game.

I know that some people in the Candid Collectors' Union have bought the same game more than once because they forgot that they already own the game.

That hasn't happened to me yet.

I've done that with movies a few times. It is bad to get to a point where you don't even know what you own anymore.

I repurchased some of the GTA games and a lot of C&C games via compilations, though that's not really the same thing.

I have purchased some games, sold them, and then repurchased them at a lower price (PGR3 and Sands of Time I made a bit of money by doing that, since I got them for $6 the second time). I also own Doom 3 for Xbox and PC, even though the PC version was with the ID pack.

I have two copies each of FFVII and FFVIII (PSOne and PC).

The only game I have two physically identical copies of is Amplitude (one sealed). The second was cheap and at the time I wanted to support Harmonix as well as provide a copy for someone unfortunate enough to have never played it.

I bought Super Mario World for the SNES, sold it when I got Super Mario World + Super Mario All-Stars, bought the GBA version, and recently downloaded the Virtual Console version. I may have a small addiction to that game.

The Warriors: 2, GTA III: 3, Vice City: 3

And numerous others twice, because usually I trade in games for new games or systems. I am now holding onto my games unless I hate what I buy.

I bought three different versions of RE4 (not PC, obviously) and I have Tekken 5, Dark Resurretion for PS3 (though I got that for free since a friend shared it) and then bought Dark Resurrection for PSP. Really I only do it for games that I enjoy, but only if there is added content (like PS3's Tekken online or the new content in the PS2 version of RE4 since I got the Cube one originally).

I`m really bad for things like this. I recently bought Mega Man X Collection for the PS2 and I have Mega Man X on the PSP and I have Mega Man X 1 & 2 on the SNES.

Also have Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the PS1 and I now have it on the Street Fighter Alpha Collection. I bought both of the Capcom Collections on the PS2 and the PSP. Bought Mario 2, 3, World for the GBA and I have them on the SNES. Same thing with Zelda. Own the GBA Zelda ALTTP and the SNES version. Have Zelda OOT on the N64 and the Zelda Collection on the GC.

Bought Soul Calibur 2 for the PS2, Xbox and GC. Have Sonic 1,2,3 on the Sonic Collection on the GC and I now have Sonic on the Sega Genesis Collection. Have Yoshi`s Island on the GBA & the SNES. I also have multi versions of the Namco Collections on the PS1, PSP, GBA and GC.

I own two copies of Knights of the Old Republic. One that I bought back in the day around when it came out and one that came with the Star Wars: The Best of PC compilation which also came with four games I didn't own for less than I spent on KotOR.

I also technically own two copies of Metal Gear Solid 3. Snake Eater, which I purchased first day when it came out and Subsistence, also, first day it came out. Both played quite heavily.

Not full price, but I did buy back Prince of Persia: Sands of Time after I'd played it through and sold it back.

I did buy Legacy of Kain: Defiance for the PS2 recently in the clearance bin. I own the XBox version, but it wasn't backward compatible and I wanted to be able to play the LoK series through again.

TES IV: Oblivion. First time for the PC, which is when I found out my PC is garbage and runs the game in slideshow mode. Got a 360 a couple of weeks later and baught the 360 version then.

Too bad, game wasn't worth it in the end IMO. After the novelty of "Whoa look at the beatiful graphics" wore off, it became increasingly boring. :(

I'm the same. I bought the first call of duty and then traded it in only to buy it again a year later. same with prince of persia.
