Yeah i got final fantasy tactics for the gba for 1 dollar on amazon and it wont save/.... all well... at least it works

If cartridge-based games don't save it tends to be a bad / dead battery inside. The same happens with NES and SNES games.

The only time it ever happened to me was when I bought Chrono Trigger.

The battery just needed replacing, and now it works fine.

I had the problem with Golden Sun... oddly enough, that game isn't supposed to have a battery to replace. But Gamestop let me exchange it for another copy, which works just fine.
