I've been playing warcraft 3 and so far I haven't even beaten the computer on normal in skirmish. I'm sort of intimidated to go online because they'll be vastly superior to me. Anyone ever felt like that?

I'm always intimidated with multiplayer. Honestly, I'm kind of a poor sport. I always have been. I just don't like to compete. In the past I haven't always been humble when I win, and I don't take loss very well. On the rare occasions that I actually do play multiplayer, I get really anxious.
When I first started online gaming with MoH:AA I was unsure how it would be, and it was a little intimadting at first, but past that hurdle no not really.
I dare the TC to play a game of Dota. That's the only multiplayer game I'm intimidated by.ninjabeaver1I've never played it. Why are you intimidated by that?
I play to win, but I'm not traumatized by losing so I'm never intimidated, but there have been a few Warhawk matches where I've seen who is on the other team (I'm familiar with the better players and/or clans) and thought 'Man, we're going to take a beating this round, but hopefully I'll learn a trick or two' :P.

It's a strictly team-based game where all your teammates expect you to know what your doing. A real fair game in Dota consists of no leavers during the game, or players who do not know how to play except feed the enemy with deaths. It has a horribad community (at least in Australia), but once you get the general gist of it. (by playing with friends on your team) It can be pretty fun. You might even get scolded for doing something newbish in a NOOB server.
I only ever feel intimidated to play RTS's and fightersonline even though I love them. I just hate getting my *** handed to me like it was nothing.
Absolutely. Itsnerve racking to jump from playing single player to playing against other people who you know are awesome at the game.
No one likes the idea of getting their butt kicked.
Feel that way with Demigod. The game is hard to learn, no tutorial at all. I don't see the popularity of a game you have to spend hours trying to memorize keypresses.
Keypresses? I don't think there are that many in Demigod. It's a fun game; just start with single-player, and work your way up the AI until you feel ready to go online.Feel that way with Demigod.
