Has anyone ever ditched opportunities to play video games? Big or small, or both? Examples aredeciding not to go to a party to play games, or not going to college/university so you could have more time for gaming.

If not, anyone know anybody that did?

I haven't actually... I seem to have this problem with gaming lately where I can't play games for a long time and if something else pops up to do then I go do that first.. What IS WRONG WITH ME??! :(

ha ha.. I definitely have. In the past few weeks that I've been preoccupied with Sims 3.. A) my friends have called asking to hang out numerous times, B) I received a Summer Job interview opportunity, and C) today I had the chance to participate in activities for Canada Day. I declined attending all of the above because I was desperate to get my daily dose of Sims 3. Ugh, playing Sims 3 has become my addiction.

Hell no. I place entertainment at the bottom of my priority list. Everything else gets done before I sit down to play a game or watch TV.

Yes. But I almost never have major opportunities.

No

I love playing games, but I'll always prefer going out and hanging out with my friends instead.

It has happened, but most of the time I put other things before gaming.

Yeah. Once this girl wanted to go out with me on a date. I refused because I was busy helping my clan with something in Star Wars Galaxies. But those days are over.

Yeah, I have done it in the past, and I still do it occasionally. I have never missed anything major, though. I know my priorities.

Opted not to get wasted at a party because the Bioshock demo came out that night and I wanted to drive home and play it, but that may be it.

I've done the same. Go to a party, make an appearance and touch no booze so I could be at the top of my game for Halo or Gears with my friend later that night.

This is probably one of the better questions that has been asked in the forums. You get a cookie.

I can't think of any major events that I skipped in order to play games instead. Although, I will say that if any person skipped out on college in order to play more games or dropped out of college because they played too much, then they are complete idiots.

The day KZ2 came out I had bought it and then I went to my GF parents house for the weekend (100 miles from my PS3 ), couldnt play it till I got back, the whole timeit was just staring at me...Taunting me, ha ha. Also, I always ignore my GF to play videogames but I doubt that counts, after you've been together a few years you tend to cherish the times you have a chance to play videogames without her trying to bother you while your trying to play videogames.
