Hey,
Just wondering whether or not you guys order consoles online or buy in person when you buy one? I was thinkning about ordering a PS3 but wondering if there is any disadvantage to that besides waiting?
-Thanks

If you have it shipped, be sure that someone will be there to get it. A PS3 is not something you want sitting around on your doorstep tempting people to walk off with it. Also, most of the major shipping companies require a signature for delivery -- but if they can't get it they will sometimes leave it in an "out of sight" area. Call the shipping company and make sure they know you do not want them hiding the PS3 in your garage or under the azalea bush if they don't get a signature. Tell them you'd prefer they hold it at their facility for pickup.
I had a bad experience with having a pc shipped. Be careful.
Sounds like a rare and unusual case to me. Usually, if you're not home when they arrive, they usually leave a note specifying where you can pick up your product. That's how they normally do things (at least Purolator, anyway). If you have it shipped, be sure that someone will be there to get it. I've had experiences along the same line. I did the 360 Arcade HDD deal, and I didn't even knew that it already arrived. I got an email that night saying that it arrived, went downstairs, checked, and it was just laying in front of the door. Didn't like that too much. No note, no call, just a late email.
