CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME IF HAVING THE HDMI CABLE OPPOSED TO THE HD COMPONENT CABLE IS ANY BETTER. IS IT ENOUGH DIFFERENCE FOR ME TO CHANGE TO HDMI?

i think the quality is pretty similar the biggest benefit is having audio in the cable as well. if you worry about the cost of the cable go to monoprice and get them for around 6 bucks. never buy monster crap.

So to add the obvious no its not worth upgrading to HDMI unless you have some specific reason IE true HD 7.1 and other new sound formats that only run through HDMI. If your not worried about the absolute best, or don't have the expensiveequipment to take advantage of these things, no its not worth it.

i happened to have HDMI equipment so the extra 6 bucks was worth it to me to lose some cable clutter.

but yes in general a lot of people tend to obsess over their equipment having hdmi when component will do just fine.

Yes I'm running HDMI from My cable and PS3, but my 360 is on component because I'm not upgrading it just to get HDMI out of it. Funny I think the 360 through component looks best, it seems PS3 has a washed out effect or some dampering of color some how. Cable does look better through HDMI though. I'm running HDMI to DVI though as my TV ony has a DVI input, not going to upgrade that either anytime soon so I'm not getting the full sound benifits of HDMI but you know what? I doubt I would notice that much of difference. I think once again people bought into hype of other who are at heart salespeople trying to sell you a product, not some audio video expert. I would wager if we line 10 indentical tvs half with HDMI half without half of each running in 720P and half running in 1080P nine out of ten people would not beable to tell which was which.
