I'm not very experienced when it comes to playing games online. I normally just try out the multiplayer mode on single player games like gtav, uncharted etc. However, I recently purchased battlefield hardline after being drawn in by it cool looking game modes and cops and robbers theme. I really suck at this game, I die as soon as I respawn and don't know what the hell I'm doing. I've played a fair bit but I'm levelling very slowly and its taking ages to earn money for new stuff.

I still like the idea of multiplayer but need something that's abit easier to get into. Rainbow six looks like my cup of tea as I much prefer the close quarter combat stuff instead of getting sniped from miles away. Also the hud looks alot less cluttered.

I was looking forward to star wars battlefront but now I'm worried that its going to be too much like battlefield just with a star wars skin. Ive also played a fair bit of destinys pvp but got constantly owned on that as well, which put me off halo mp because I heard they were quite similar.

What other games should I try? I want something abit different to COD and the likes.

Although many people might say that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is your best bet here, it's really not that fun because it takes tons of practice.

It's not like Call of Duty where you can shoot someone wherever on their body and it does substantial amounts of damage. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive almost forces you to aim for the head and, if you're not doing that, you're going to fail pretty quickly. You can definitely try it out and see how you like it, but overall, it's a lot of practice and I never thought it was worth it. Fortunately, a new shooter game just came out on Steam called Dirty Bomb. I've been playing that since it's release and can guarantee you'll have a fun time with that.

It's a very class-oriented game, much like Battlefield, but a lot more fast-paced. The game is in beta, but still have competitive modes, as well as a lottery system where you can get new guns, abilities, and camouflages for your characters. If you're interested, I'd say check out some gameplay. Other than that, I think I'd wait until something big comes out - like Halo 5 - which should be out this October. Also, Call of Duty isn't particularly bad, if you're into run-and-gun type stuff. It's not a very team-oriented game unless you're playing on competitive or with a competent team. Still, it isn't a bad game, by any means.

Does this help at all?

Play Halo 3/4, you got armor and shield, unless somebody shoots you with a sniper rifle or with a friggin´ rocket you can sustain enough damage to fight back.
