I've played through like three or four times...sooo, lots o' hours, lot more than 300 or so. I still play it about once a week, it stays on in my bedroom, i only have a ps2 up there.LIKETOPLAYGAMES
Heh what did you do in those 300 hours?
Without exggeration, I spent 201 hours in the game trying to beat penance which required me to level up their luck level and they all have maximum status except for the magic which is in the range of 190s. Couldn't be bothered to make 255 since I don't use magic spells.
About 150 hours. I was so uber at the end of the game I killed the last boss in 3 turns.GodModeEnabled
wowowowow :P sorry but if you have all their weapons and their status level was high you would be able to do it in one turn.

lol you win ^_^I managed to make it through about 12 hours before I just couldn't take it anymore. I didn't like spending far more time watching a game than I'm playing it. I was also highly disappointed that as far as I was into the game, I was limited to whatever set piece the story required me to be in rather than being given any sort of world map to explore. Without the ability to explore more, the typical JRPG things like blocking paths, putting you in a small environment where you can only talk and then run around until you trigger the next cutscene/boss fight, etc started to really aggravate.
I'm not as far into FFXII, but they made a lot of improvements in that regard. The changes to the combat system are also pretty nice.
