Overall Perfect Dark was like 10 times better than goldeneye, but not many people got into perfect dark's multiplayer sadly.

Both are horrible by today's standards, at least as shooters.

The only thing I can't stand about Perfect Dark is how blurry the graphics are. At least in Goldeneye you could see what was going on.

I think a Goldeneye/Perfect Dark remake is due.

Perfect Dark was better but since it was released towards the end of the N64 I'm guessing it never got a chance to be as big as Goldeneye.

I agree. Perfect Dark's release close to the end of the N64's marketing cycle prevented it from really gaining the popular support that would most likely have turned it into another game almost as popular as GoldenEye, if not more than.

Goldeneye just simply had more attention than Perfect Dark. Goldeneye was a spectacular game and I loved it, but in the end, Perfect Dark was a just a much better game all around.

Both are awesome, I even bought an N64 just to play Perfect Dark. I never had one at the time of release, my parents were video game nazis until the GameCube came out.

I like them both but I have to say I have more fond memories of Goldeneye. Multiplayer with friends when that came out was amazing and alot of people were just done with the N64 by the time Perfect Dark came out sadly :(

It always felt to me that Rare was trying to make the N64 do too much, nothing that made the game bad or unplayable of course, but things just felt smoother in goldeneye.

One game was about human vs human, the other was about human vs aliens. Goldeneye wins for storymode. Perfect Dark's multiplayer was freaking awesome though. I bust out my n64 for two games every now and then. The first one is perfect dark, the second is wwf no mercy. The graphics are crap in perfect dark but the choices and options in setting up your own multiplayer is great and you even get to use bots which is freaking unheard of today.

not only that but it did take advantage of the expansion pak if you had one in the n64 which did give the graphics a bump up from goldeneye
