We've all been there - you're trying to have a good time online and suddenly some jerk starts ruining everyone's fun. I'm curious how you all handle toxic players. Do you mute them, try to outplay them, or have some secret trick up your sleeve? Share your tips for keeping your cool when the salt starts flowing!

Mostly ignore them, sometimes **** with them. If some idiot is really angry with me in a game, it is very funny to make him more angry.

Stopped playing FPS online years back.

Usually now and again fighting games and it's typically with people I like, or randos where the match is too short and without a mic for them to be toxic beyond a rage quit.

I simply ignore them. All they want is to get me irritated, so I don't give them the satisfaction of knowing that they affected me.

Just how it goes, some people are sore losers/ spiteful jerks.

Doesn't stop me playing a game though, they want to be the center of the world and I'm not willing to give them the attention they crave. Too busy playing the game to care.

Will always mute an obnoxious person in multiplayer if they're giving me or any my friends an ear-full.

Usually just mute them. It's a bit sad online gaming years ago I feel like was full of friendly banter.

Now a days, many games are just too toxic, have to mute the whole room.

I keep communication to a minimum in almost all cases so it's never an issue.

I usually mute or ignore them.
I try to enjoy the game and if it is constant, well, I get out.

When I played fps competitive games, ignore and block.

Occasionally stir it up a little bit because why not, but mostly I don't have much interest in those interactions.

I used to play Killzone 2 back in the day without a microphone. Never had problems online though I am terrible at FPS games.

I had a moment a few months ago where I played a match with a random and they added me after the match. Sometimes ppl do this,I didn't think much of it.

He proceeded to rant at me for 5 minutes about how worthless I was and how bad I am at the game, while my drunk ass couldn't even get my headset connected.

After thinking about things a while, I just decided to quit playing the game. It was more stressful than anything, and it was supposed to be fun.

Block them. It's a feature that's existed since about 1995.
