Hi folks,

How you do you play your games?

Do you go methodically complete each one? (Each game in your collection is completed one by one, until you buy a new one of course)

Or do you play one, get bored and then move onto the next? (You've had a go and know about all your games, but hardly any are completed).

There are advantages and disadvantages to each one, but what do you do?

Usually I play a game until I'm bored then go to the next one then get bored with that then go back to the previous one or to another one then back to what I was playing before etc...I eventually end up finishing a game with this method, somehow.

If I like the game - I master it in 100% then move to the next one. If I dislike the first game, I don't even bother to finish it and I move to the next tittle.

I mainly finish a game, then move onto the next one. It depends on the game though. If it's a RPG, I stay on it till the end, otherwise if I play inbetween games, I'll have no idea what to do next and the story will come... fuzzy :P

similar to shinian If I like the game I try to do everything possible in it. If I'm not so keen on the game I will try to complete the story. There aren't many games that I try and play and then find out how bad they are and can't bring myself to complete it. Hopefully looking up the game before buying it is enough to avoid total disasters :) I also try to stick to playing just one game at a time. I don't like to have several part complete games, as I end up forgetting what was happening, or never get round to completing it.

Adventure games - I play one at a time. Fighting and Sports - I play them whenever I feel like and until I achieve certain goals such as winning a particular tournament, I will do this until the next game in the series is released.

I usually play a whole bunch of games at once and I try to finish as many of them as possible. I don't leave many of them unfinished.

I usually play one for a while then shift to another. It's not really boredom, I just usually feel the urge to play something else.

I have no set standard other than I must beat them before I get rid of them. I have played four titles off and on till I have beaten them, and then games like oblivion where I did not touch anything else for a month. So i think for me it has more to do with the game and how it affects me than any personal style.

I ALWAYS finish a game 100% even if I don't like the game. I don't know why, its just a rule with me. Beatevery game onits hardest difficult, doing all the quests in oblivion etc etc... The only game ever that I bought that I absolutley could not finish is the new Prince of Persia game. That was the most boring game I have every played in my entire life of gaming for 20 years. I tried so hard, but jumping around with a broken jumping system collecting "light seeds" (little glowing balls) for hours onend while fighting the same 4 enemies over and over again...arggggg what a horrible horrible boring game.

I rarely buy more than one game at a time but if I do, I just balance my playing time between games.

Depends. Sometimes I'll heavily focus solely on one game. Other times, I will go around playing around 3-6 games at once.

If I really like a game, I'll usually play it more then once (ie. Zelda) depending on how long it is. If I get stuck in part in a game for more then 2-3 hours I'll usually move on to something else but I always return to playing it in a few months.

I usually play one game at a time, and to completion. I sometimes play low-involvement games, like Rabbids or Soul Calibur, at the same time as high-involvement games like RPGs. I tend to revisit games a lot, which is why I'm so behind on my gaming.

I play all my games whenever. But understand, since my time is at a premium andI have other obligations, I have it set up that way. Additionally, my favorite genres make it easy for me to do that. I'm mainly a fighter, (3rd person) shooter, racing, andsport gamer so it's easy for me todo. I do like adventure games but it's hard for me to get around to completing them. The last adventure game I completed was Ico. I STILL haven't finished Sword of the Berserk, Onimusha, or Devil May Cry.

i usually have a few game on the "to finish" pile... usually i play my newest game as priority, if i get stuck i move onto a previous game and come back to it...(lot less pulling my hair and bashing my head into walls, seriously...) however there are exceptions to that. if the game is incredibly good (EG: Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2) then it sits on priority no matter how many new games i buy. i play the games almost all day everyday till i finish it...

Recently it's been one game at time until I finish it or get bored. I like to have a couple games so when I get tired of one, I have something else I wanna play.

I stay on only if I find the story to be interesting or the gameplay to be real fun. I don't believe in slogging through an incredibly tuogh game just to get 100% complete. I stick to a game as long as I'm having fun or as long as the story keeps me hooked. I don't mind slogging through a game if the story is awesome though.

After realizing I still have a lot of games to beat, I am really trying to start finishing a game before I start the next one.

I'm starting to feel like I'm getting my moneys worth by beating most (if not all) of the content the game has to offer.

I play them slowly and won't move onto another game until I've beaten the final boss/mission/whatever. Unless I'm absolutely enthralled by the game I won't try and do every last thing possible. Got other games to play you know?

I tend to buy 3-5 games, and then buy 1. Because of this, I have 70+ games in my backlog.

I really don't have a specific method. I tend to play about five games at once, but no more than two that are really involving. When I beat them, get stuck, or get bored, I move on. Since I have an addiction to buying games, there's usually something in my backlog to play.

At the most I rotate between three single players. But that only happens when a lot of games come out. Otherwise I methodically play games one by one. Multiplayer games are in between because there is no story for me to follow and get confused with.

I play one game until I get bored or frustrated with it and then move on to something else, returning to the first one weeks or months later.

I'm admittedly all over the place. Usually I'm involved in a bunch of games during a period, so I'll play a game for a little bit, then move to thenext one, play that for a bit, move on to the next one, and (eventually) start back to the first game.

Every once in a while a game will completely absorb me, and I will play it exclusively to the finish, but usually I bounce back and forth between 5+ games at once.

Usually what I do is play a game until I get bored of it, and then maybe branch off into some other games, and periodically go back to each one in attempts at completing them.

Currently I'm having so much fun playing Super Robot Taisen OG Saga for the DS that it's sometimes hard to even fall asleep because I just want to keep playing it.

I mostly play strategy games and obsess about them to the point where I have to finish them. If I am thoroughly bored though, there's really no point. That has only happened once, to date!
