Is it "yis", "Wise", "Ise", "eyes" or do you simply say the letter Y followed by the letter S?

Like you would "east", except without the "t" sound. Only correct way.

Yeah, they're not quite saying it correctly. The "s" sound should be as you pronounce it in "super." It shouldn't sound like a "z."

It's イース not イーズ

I know the correct way if only because of the kana but I'll always say Whys, as in Why's this series not dead yet? :D The first couple were great, but after that...

lol, I never even heard of this series until Ys "Yees" Seven was introduced to me. It's probably one of the lesser known RPGs. Sharing the light with games like Alundra, Arc the Lad and Wild Arms. Nice looking game though.

I hear the correct way is to say "ease," but I refuse to pronounce it that way given its spelling and still call it "wise."

So it seems everyone just pronounces it however they see it to be pronounced. lol. I always said "yiz", until I heard Mark from Classic Game Room say "wise".

It is pronounced like "ease" and there is no other way to pronounce it, though I can see where there might be confusion.

In swedish (and many other languages) the letter Y represents a unique vowel sound so I pronounce it "ys", which is close, but not at all identical to "ease".

Wikipedia says it's pronounced "ees". Apparently, its an actual mythical city.
