Just curious on how you people purchase your games? I myself Purchase mainly used games as i tend to wait several weeks untill the prices drop and theyre on sale on Ebay. I've just purchased No More Heroes for £22 insted of paying the full whack of £40 in the shops and £30 online.

How do you guys purchase games?

Pretty much the same. I usually either buy them used at gamestop or occasionally on ebay.

Used/New at gamestop. Or at my local game hustler ;) at a discount. I'll buy a game brand spanking new if I thinks its worth it. Otherwise I wait for the price to drop or get a used version.

Ebay.

Always!

Usually great quality and dead cheap... and delivered straight to your door! I once bougth Cold Fear for £2.98 and it arrived less than 24 hrs after I ordered it (and a great fun game it was too!).

... also I'm usually able to trade in games at my local games store and get more back than what I'd paid for them. Sweeeet!

And then select games I buy new in my local Supermarket.

A few on Ebay, most in stores. I've been thinking about going to ebgames.com though.

In shops most of the time. Future Shop get the big chunk (all). Zellers get an interesting chunk (consoles). EBgames get a few (PC mostly). Toy'R'us & other get attention, but rarely a sold.

I purchase 2 games online so far, and I am not looking forward to redo that ever again. I would pick Stardock over other options if I must. I think it was in 2002 and in 2005 or something like that.

Well you have to evaluate the inquiry. Buying them new allows you to indoubtfully obtain the game firsthand assuming you preorder it. It will be in perfect condition, but you don't get the fresh smell and it is fairly costly. Buying them used is generally moderately cheaper than buying them new or preordered, but the condition can be inadequate and you don't get the excitement you generally get playing it brand new. Based on these statistics, I would have to say buying them new gets you your bang for your buck. Ciao! :)

I buy huge big games I want right when they are releasing. ( Very rare that I do this),
I buy most my games used as I collect old games that's impossible to find in a store or online.

Most of the time I wind up buying used games from my little local game store, partly because they're an amazing store with lots of hard-to-find old games and systems and I like to give them my support, partly because by the time I get around to buying something it's hard to find new... Ugh, it took me months to find Shadow Hearts: From the New World. I try to buy used games in stores because you can see the disc before you buy it, online I've gotten a few discs that didn't read at all and that's the end of me buying sight unseen. If I'm buying something new I almost always hunt up the best price online, I only buy a new game from stores if I must have it right now :P. Usually my self control is pretty good though.

I make the majority of my purchases for PC @ Amazon. Probably 75% are made there. Used is only a last resort.

I enjoy making Best Buy runs to go "Shopping" for all the items they have. I like getting to look at the box and seeing stuff I might not have known I was interested in. For PS2 games I like to go through the used rack at GameStop and the bargain bins at department stores. For Wii, since the library is still relatively small I almost always know what I want before I buy but sometimes I'm surprised by a GameCube title that catches my eye.

Console games I get used if I can since it's cheaper. If the game I want just came out and I can't wait(which is usually the case) I get it new lickety split.

With PC I prefer to get them new from the store. Used PC games usually blow up in my face with invalidated CD keys and such. Plus I like actually physically having the game which is why I prefer stores over online. I do purchase some games online though, under certain circumstances. (i.e download only games like audiosurf or older games that would be hard to find in stores.)

New in stores whenever possible, expect when there's a BIG price cut somewhere online.

Amazon is my Plan B.
