Now I don't know about you, but I love seeing consoles exclusive games that come out for any system. First of all I haven't bought any next gen game for this simple fact I don't buy anything because other people are getting into it. I like to follow my own opinion about which game system I want to play on. I don't care about things like Blu-rayor playing on-line with other people. I find those things just to belittle extra on the main dish. I want to play a game for quality, but I also don't want to find myself looking at some crap a kid has hand drawn and stuck on my t.v.

Back to the issue, I save my money wisely and do research on the games that the console has for it. And when one game cathces your attention then another game comes along and does the same, but on another console. Then you ask yourself well I do want to serve up some people on Super Smash Brothers, but their aren't many adventure games like Uncharted, then well Mass Effect is coming to. And while your in your dilemma you find out that some first party games get some pretty sad scores. So how do you all arrive at the answer to which console you should buy?

I agree, I like exclusive games for each system. I was at one time a die hard Sony fan and wouldn't even think about buying another system. Then I started noticing games like Forza and Call of Duty, so I broke down and bought a Xbox and I love it. I also have a GameCube, but only have a few games for it. Yes I still have my PS2 and by the way a PSP. I haven't bought a next gen system yet, but I plan on getting the PS3 and 360, just because I love playing games. I feel you're cheating yourself if you only have 1 system. That's if you're a true gamer. I don't think playing Halo on line for 5 thousands hours is someone you call a true gamer.

I took this generation mainly on a gut feeling. Obviously I bought a Wii because it was cheap, but I felt that Nintendo was doing a great thing by changing the control style completely. I'd love to get an Xbox or PS3, but in both cases the price is offensive. If it's power the companies were after then I have a PC for that.

The only bad thing about the Wii is the games. Like the GameCube the games out so far for the Wii are pretty week. Sure it has a few good strong games but not much. Same way with the Cube. You had RE 0 which I thought was an awesome game w/ great graphics and their was no reason why the Game cube couldn't make more games like this. The Wii so far is going the same way. They need to really come out with some really good solid games to help them.

Yeah, I go by exclusives too. That's why I went with the PS3 even though it's a mess right now... Eventually it will have exclusives that I love, like Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Tekken, etc. Same with the Wii. Since I can't think of a single XBOX exclusive I really care about, I saw no reason to buy it.

Since all consoles will have good exclusives I just buy all of them. The price of the PS3 was a bit prohibitive until I started looking for an upscaling dvd and read that it does that well. That basically took a 3rd off the price, and then the Motorstorm-resistance-Extra controller-package hit Sweden and since I wanted both games it no longer was expensive in the same sense.

I have not gotten a wii yet. There's no game yet that is a must-have for me and I have yet to even try out the wiimote.

price- the PS3 is out

reliability- the 360 is out

games- the wii is out

Almost all current gen systems are epic failures. PS2 and PC are the only ones left.

It depends one what kind of gamer you are really. Its obviously about the games, but its what kind of games you play.

For example, last gen, I never bought a X-Box, but I owned a PS2 and GC. For me, I'm big into RPG's, I like action adventure games, and of course other random good games. But I'm not really into FPS, so the reason I never bought a Xbox. PS had loads of RPGs and good action games to play, and exclusives I wanted to play. Like MGS, FF, R&C, Jak, Suikoden, etc. Then the GC had Zelda & Metroid, and that was reason alone to buy it for me.

To me, it also is about the exclusives. The only exclusive game I actually wanted to play for the Xbox was Halo and even then it wasn't a strong desire for me. Any of the other games that might be "good" I saw on the ps2, so why buy and xbox? I didn't. Exclusives can make it or break it to me. Thats why this gen might be different, I may actually get a 360 with games like Mass Effect, Eternal Sonota and a few others that actually interest me that I can't play anywhere else.

I really don't know. I pretty much just buy every Nintendo console because I end up spending the most time with those games. Then I buy the other console(s) later in their life once a pretty large library of must-have games I really want have been released and are in most cases pretty cheap.

At least that's how I'm going to do it this generation. I purchased all 3 consoles around their release last gen and I ended up buying way too many games, and I can probably count the number I finished on one hand. I'm hoping by focusing on just one console at a time I'll be able to actually sit down and play all the games and not be tempted drop it for another.

I usually get all of them, but first thing I look at is the games and the price of the system.
