I've never tried at Future shop. It's been years since I traded in a game at EB Games. What happens there (at least the last time I checked into it) is they offer you a price that's not worth the trouble of trading it in, and you'll get either cash or about double the value if you put it towards the purchase of another game.

I am not exactly sure, even though I am canadian but we do have measures to keep track of the tiv via users http://www.icantradegames.ca

As far as I know? It depends on their inventory, any recent releases for the a game's successor like COD 4 being affected by the release of COD5 etc etc. But other than that there is no other way of finding it out

Cheers

I worked at futureshop, and the trade in there is a hassle (Mostly for the employee) Go to EB to do it if you want to trade-in, same prices less time wasted. EB works that you go there and they scan them, tell you the price, then add the prices up to a toal, you can either get the credit put on a card or put it towards a purchase.

EB Games is a terrible place to trade in games as they give you a pathetic amount of money for all but the most recent games. I don't trade in games very often, but I find Blockbuster to offer better prices and they usually have deals for trading in a number of games towards a new release. As a comparison, I was able to get $35 for my copy of Halo 3 at Blockbuster the middle of last year when EB Games was only offering $10 for it.

Actually you know what? I find that blockbuster AND futureshop both have much better trade in values than EB... well in most cases..
