It certainly makes the game more enjoyable, but as long as the gameplay and story are good then I can live with a mediocre soundtrack.

I think it's pretty important. :P Part of what makes a good game a great game is a nice musical score. And it makes playing more bearable.

Even if the soundtrack is bad it can win your affection just because of the nostalgia it gives you. On the contrary, a game can suck and have great music. The soundtrack is important but a "good" one isn't always necessary for it to be successful.

It depends on the music. If it catches your attention while you play and doesn't annoy, then it can be a great asset, especially if it helps you focus better. A good balance of music, game play, story and graphics can make all the difference between a good game and a bad game.

I feel its very important, the music sets the mood of where your at and how intense things are happening. It can also give clues to your objectives, and how close you are to defeating an enemy. or when your journey is at an end. It really is very much a big part of what makes games good.

For me, a bad soundtrack, for the most part isn't really that noticeable. However, a good soundtrack really adds to the game and makes the action more intense.

It depends on the game. And I usually use subtitles,so if the music is good I keep it on,if it stinks i just turn down the sound and listen to sports radio and baseball and basketball games.
