I saw the check price pages on GS for some of the Wii launch titles and most of them are still the same price as when they first came out how long does it usually take for games to lower their prices.

It depends on the game. If the game sells well and is still considered a hot item, there's no way the publisher will drop the price. I remember how Halo held its $49.99 price point right up until the release of Halo 2. That's like a three year gap between the two games. Microsoft didn't lower the price becuase Halo was still selling very well. If you want a cheaper price on the game you're looking for, you can probably find a used copy at EB or ebay.

RE4 for the Wii suffers a little bit because it was already released on the GC and PS2. That'll hurt its sales on the Wii.
