How many games is too many?

I just realised that my collection of Xbox360 games (retail)has reached the 120 mark. AndI don't even spendthat muchmoney on games.Makes me feel really bad for some reason. Most of them I've bought used for 5$ or less, but still, a little much isn't it? I guess I'm a **** nerd.

How many games do you have in your collection?

I just finshed updating my games list on Gamespot, and I have about 110 games total for the original Xbox, the 360, XBLA, Wii, and PS3. Also, I just got a Kinect and the PS3 Move bundle, so I expect to buy even more games. I say it's a great problem to have. Doesn't matter if they were cheap or not.

As long as you're finishing them, I don't think you can have too many games.

I must of played somewhere in the region of 1300 games in my lifetime. Not including flash or web browser games. It doesn't feel like too much. It's a rough estimation.

• At least 100 different games on the Spectrum 48k
• At least 100 games on the Commodore 64
• At least 300 games on the Amiga 500-1200
• At least 50 games on the Playstation
• At least 100 games on the Playstation 2
• At least 50 games on the Xbox
• At least 50 games on the Xbox 360
• At least 50 games on the Playstation 3 (yes the playstation 3 does have games)
• At least 100 games on other consoles like Mega Drive, SNES, Wii ect.
• At least 400 games on the PC from all it's generations.

It's funny I was looking at a U-tube video of 100 Amiga games in 10 minutes and I remembered every single one of them. Ahhh the Amiga, I think that was my favorite time of gaming to be honest, I loved those days, when Indy developers ruled and games were so free and so ambitious.

According to GameSpot I have 333 games. If you're a collector, there is no such thing as too many.

I have about 80 games this gen, not sure how many I have if you include previous gens. Still as long as your not breaking the bank and still manage to have some kind of social life then there is no such thing as too many games.

Maybe if you have every videogame created, and a chess board.

That's a lot of games, but still, not enough.. :/ lol

Hundreds... although recently I gave a older generation 360 to a recently divorced friend with 3 young boys. Gave them a bunch of games to keep them busy. Starting a new generation I say! :D

Too many games would be either:

- When you're buying games and you're struggling play them all in order to keep up.
- When you're in debt and you're still buying games.
- When you're buying games and you're not enjoying them.

These are some reasons. I'm sure there are more.

I currently only own 80 games, and have probably only played an additional 100-150 through life. Thinking about it, it seems like a huge number, especially considering the amount of time is usually play each game.

I have no idea how many games I've had for the current gen. I usually try to sell most of my games while they still have high value so I can buy new games.

No such thing as too many. If it's your hobby then what does it matter? A lot of my games have a lot of memories attached to them. Corny as hell sounding I know, but it's true.

I look forward to the future when looking at the Uncharted 2 box art brings a tear to my eye :D

I actually just got into the whole collecting thing within the last few years. I really regret selling some of my old games and consoles, and now I'm working to build and play a vast collection.

Close to 200. I'd say the 1000 mark is an overkill.

My collection is over 300 now, and it's gotten too big to manage. I've been getting rid of quite a few games recently.

I think there is never too many as long has you finish them and organized.

Why you are having all your games with yourself? Remember, don't buy all the games yourself, buy few games only and then keep exchanging them with your friends.

If you like games, you can never have too many. I think it becomes a problem when you start having money trouble because of it though.

Lol hearing everyone say they've got over 100 games makes me feel a hell of a lot better. I have around 30 PS3 games and i thought that was to much :)

Haven't even played half of them yet.

Only you can determine the way you feel about things. If you feel that your gut is telling you that you have spent to much money on gaming, or that you feel your time spent playing video games was wasted, then that could very well be true, find a new hobby that interests you.

Over 400, with a little over a third of them being DS games. I have no way of knowing how many thousands of games I've played over the past 28 or so years of gaming, but I'm pretty sure it's well up there.

As long as your priorities are right and gaming doesn't take more money and time than it should out of the important things in life (defined by you), then I don't see it as being a problem. If you feel you have to much, then maybe quit buying for a while or start getting rid of some in exchange for new ones while staying the number you have now or less.

i only have 3 games in my collection and i'm happy with that because i can play them without thinking how am i going to play all those games if i had more than 20 games.
