@Spineratti: what do you like about MK4 ? It was the worst numbered MK game.(only Special Forces and maybe Mythologies that were spin-offs were worse than that)

Netherrealm released a New version of Old MK games on PS3 ,Xbox360 and PC.(MK Arcade Kollection)

While I liked the older games back then, I just can't get into them anymore, the fighting is pretty bad by today's standards.

@dorog1995:

I only mentioned it as a classic MK because it was the last one to be released in arcades. I enjoy MK4 for what it is, but I love UMK3 (as well as MK 1 & 2) a LOT more.

@vfighter:

That's the general consensus, as much as I hate to admit it.

The other problem is MK completely redid its core gameplay twice now, making it really hard to play continuously from game to game. That's what I really like about Street Fighter and Tekken. There have been many games in both their main series, but since their core gameplay has remained largely untouched, it's easy not just to go from SFII* to SFV and Tekken 3* to Tekken Tag 2^, but you can also easily go back and forth between all the games during a tournament/marathon!

*SF1 and Tekken 1 + 2, while I do play and enjoy them, are too clunky and sluggish to bother with by today's standards.

^I WANT MY HANDS ON TEKKEN 7 DAMMIT!!!!
