how much $$$ have you spend on gaming?

How much $$$ have you speant on gaming? This would include your PC (and it's upgrades), video games, consoles, controllers, etc

-PC, $900

-PS2, games and controllers, $400

SNES, games, and controllers, $120

PC games, $110

Total cost: $1530

Wow, to think I could have used that money for someone productive :/

My game collection said $4000. I bought PS1 = $100, Dreamcast = $100, PS2 = $250, Xbox = $300, two gameboys = $100, and five PCs = $4000.

So that comes to a grand total of....$8,850. o.o That's a lot.

My family likes to game, except for my mom.

ps2 (and replaceing broken ones) and games-around 1000

so around 3400 :)

On this generation of games and consoles...

PC- + games $1200 (I had to replace a motherboard,cpu,ram and video card with a reasonable temporary replacement until further funds are available.

X360- Games+Console - $2000

PS3- Console+game - $1000

These dates go from 2006-2008 almost, $4200 total roughly. Sometime next year I'll gather $3000 for brand new PC components... its been years since I fully upgraded.

Way too much. i won't even bother to add it up.

Its too much math for me, but I do know that with all the money I've spent on games if I could have it back I would be a very rich man... I'd probably blow it on gaming again.

Impossible to calculate, especially when you include gaming PCs and upgrades for them.

To be completely honest, though, probably less than I've... erm... obtained through means that didn't cost money...

But seriously, I don't think it should matter how much or how little we spend on gaming as long as we enjoy it. I'm sure we spend just as much, if not more, on clothes, televisions, and car accessories we don't really need. It's all relative, really.

Sorry to disagree, but gaming and books are the only two things which I purchase often. I buy clothes at cheap prices every other year, and I don't have a car yet. When I do get one, I'm only going to put enough money in it to get it up and running (which is going to happen Winter Break).
