The next Uncharted is the best TPS I've seen so far and I'm sure Naughty Dog will do well for a long time and make a lot more Uncharted. This is as long as our world work of course.

Believe it or not, developers and publishers need to make a profit on their products.

I'm not sure what the issue is, The Uncharted games aswell as Last of Us has been rather solid titles and as such it's far from uncommon that a studio will try to capitalize on the popularity. I mean, Id Software is coming out with the fourth Doom game , Nintendo has more Mario games then one can count, Ubisoft got Assassin's creed and Farcry games that you'll need to use your other hand to count soon.

I'm all for studio's trying something new, but to do so they do need money and if the games they " Milk" have time, effort and quality in them, then I'd say it a huge leap to claim they don't care about consumers.

They're fine. There's nothing wrong with wanting to make money and make games that sell. While it would be nice to keep every fan happy it's just not possible or feasible for a number of reasons, most being of the financial or creative aspect.

I doubt ND will make another UC game. Sony may reboot the franchise with another developer, but I believe ND is done with the franchise. I look forward to whatever their next new IP is.

Hopefully naughty dog will go out of business after i die.

Have you looked at Quantum Break? I'm not saying it'll be better than Uncharted, but if you like TPS's, then I'd suggest checking it out.

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Naughty Dogs cinematic approach, but what you're stating is rumors you're making up as you go along.

I would also like to point out your name "animeiscancer" is very annoying, but probably based in ignorance. You see in Japan, all animation is called アニメーション (animeshon), and shortened called アニメ (anime). No matter what those outside of Japan like to think, >all< animation is anime! It's the romanji way of writing it. So stating anime is cancer is a disregard towards all multi framed illustrative works.

If I could remember correctly I think Naughty dog said this would be their last of the uncharted sequel... So, if Sony wants to give it to someone else to continue... That's not Naughty dog's head ache anymore... They have tried alot

I started playing Uncharted 1 Remastered the other day, and I must admit, I honestly don't really see why the series got so much praise.

Sure, it's well presented and probably was a big deal early last gen, but...the gameplay is weak and the lame sex jokes are plentiful. I kept feeling like it was aimed at a much younger audience. Hopefully the rest of the trilogy is better.

As for Naughty Dog's finances - they seem to be doing okay? They release many of the only worthwhile exclusives on Sony consoles, so I think they'll be secure for a while.

Naughty Dog Is a in-house Sony studio.

So if Sony wanted more Uncharted you can be sure that Naughty Dog would do what their owners said.

Naughty Dog is a child company of Sony, Not a independent studio having a "contract" with Sony.

Again this was obviously a bait thread. Since the only way for Naughty Dog to have any financial problems is if Sony had massive problems themselves. IE the whole purpose of the thread to slam Sony.

ND always been like that nothing new here ... they milked Crash Bandicoot before leaving it at the end of the PSOne ... then they made many Ratchet N Clank during the PS2 and PS3 days ... too many Uncharted during the PS3 times ... always been like that.

Naughty Dog are probably doing just fine, they've got other projects they are working on as well as Uncharted.

uhmmm... Maybe I should have said the future of Sony's ability so stay graphically ahead... I mean horizon looks great but, U4 is just crazy... And no one can deny the fact that The last of us had a positive significant effect on Sony's confidence...

And The Last of Us is nothing remotely similar to Uncharted.

They'll go out of business because of me LOL. I never buy these single player only games, I just watch the cut scenes on YouTube, quicker and cheaper.

Gotta say though, it is really sad to keep seeing these "last entry in the franchise" this generation. Uncharted 4 is ND's last, MGSV is Kojima's last, Arkham Knight is Rocksteady's last, The Witcher 3 is the last (focusing on Geralt's story) by CD Projekt Red, Hotline Miami 2 is Dennaton's last. It just seems that this generation has seen the last entry in some awesome franchises and we are only 2 years into it. Very depressing to think that these franchises are supposedly coming to an end. Sure, the cynical side of me says that because these franchises make the company so much money that it is just going to keep making entries into the series regardless of if the original devs are with them or not, but then that makes it even worse to have sub-par sequels just to make a quick buck.

I will agree that it is sad. But the problem with these last "games" is that the people who have said it are not in control in the end.

So if the Sony execs. wants another Uncharted they will get it, if Konami wants another MGS, they will get it or if Kojima holds the IP, you can be sure he may very well be persuaded by money and some big pay check from someplace.

As to the rest do not care , but again people change their minds and this last thing is also used as a marketing scheme.

IMHO, the only really good game they ever made was the Last of Us and that was their last game. Hopefully they can expand on what they did with that game. Uncharted 4 looks exceptionally unpromising after the terrible E3 showing it had though.

P.S. how dare you compare the incredible The Last of Us to that horrid filthy Uncharted series. Shame on you. Uncharted shows a great deal of disregard for the player.
