He gave you an answer. How would he know that they are closed in your area and timezone? And nobody except GameStop would know the exact price, so why not wait and call them later? No need to be rude to someone trying to help you out.

I don't understand, if they arn't open in your area right now why does it matter? Lets assume the person who replied did know the trade in value, you could do anything about it until tomorrow anyway! Why are you being so mad?
And Gamestop will not give you anything close to what its worth, but this isn't their fault necessarily, it's a business, and businesses are designed to make a profit. If you want quick and easy cash there is nothing wrong with selling or trading to Gamestop, but if you want a little extra money and are willing to put in a little extra effort you should consider either selling it to someone you know, or putting it up on Ebay, or something along those lines.

There are a few possibilities. Maybe he has a friend who wants to buy his machine so he wants an idea of a price to tell him, maybe he wants to know roughly what it's worth for some other reason. Either way I can understand getting frustrated by an abrupt comment like that. It could have been worded better tho (by both OP and the initial response) to avoid the angst. In fact, many posts like this could be worded better to avoid all the frustration they cause.
