Personally? $5 max. I'm not willing to spend more on dated gameplay and visuals and I'm not a big fan of "retro" at all.

It really depends on the game and what condition it is in.

@retroentertainment:

I'd go with the standard psn price of ps1 games. $4.99 a pop. For a physical store, that would be best since the psn price of ps2 games is around $9.99 to $14.99. It would make it very tempting indeed!

For digital $5 to $10 would be my price. For physical probably $5 to $30 depending on the game and condition of it, although I'd probably spend a bit more for those particular rare games.

It depends on the game and condition, but I will rarely buy one for over $10.

Just how long is a piece of string?

Fifa 07 - £1.00

Shadow of the Colossus - £20.00

Need to refine the question.

I HAVE spent about $120 altogether for 11 games. I think the costliest game I bought thus far was SOCOM II for $15. There should be no reason why ANY of the PS2 games should be more than $15.

@retroentertainment: $9.99 US. Exceeding that price tag is bonkers otherwise. No matter how popular the game was back in the day.

I actively collect PS2 games, as I got really into 'retro' gaming coupla years back.

-I've had PS2 since it's lauch, mind, but it is only now I'm really playing on it big time.

Anyways, to your question.

If I see a PS2 title I really want to have in my collection, I'll happily pay 15-20 euros for it.

For PS2 games I'm only mildly interested, I'd pay about 5 euros. Ten euros for a generic PS2 games is just too much.

In local fleamarkets and auctions, 3-4 euros is the usual price of used Ps2 games, and that suits me just fine.

I live in Europe, in Macedonia.

During the PS2 days it was pretty much impossible for us to obtain original games here but I had over 180 pirated games, they had labels, box arts and all. Ever since it became easier to import I decided to try and replace my 180 pirated game collection with originals and 102 out of those 180 or so games I was able to replace with original titles. Sadly, some games are just too expensive, mainly some of the JRPGs and other more obscure Japanese titles like SkyGunner which isn't an RPG but it costs well over $50.

It seems I'll have to accept the fact that for a good number of games I simply will not own the original versions, for the most part PS2 collecting is dirt cheap but there are quite a few rather expensive titles as well.

Most expensive buy was getting GTA Vice City Stories and GTA Liberty City Stories for PS2. Paid 15 euros for each few years back. And they were totally worth it. Amazing games, both.

What is your company looking do sir? Bringing PS2 games to PSN for purchase, selling a pirated collection of games on an emulator console, or are you a reseller of old physical PS2 games?

Keep in mind the entire PS2 library is available online fairly easily illegally, so anything beyond $5-8 is a bit much. Also, many of the best PS2 games have seen several re-releases over the years and are available on Steam as a PC version.
