I think Gaming is as legitimate a form of entertainment as TV and Movies. I say forever.Toriko42
I second that. I think Chess can be considering gaming as well... since they are board games. My grandpa is nearly 70 years old, but plays Chess to keep his mind sharp... it looks like it works. He plays either chess or poker online... would you consider those to be games as well?
so long as you enjoy it, there is no reason to stop.
however, you do seem to feel a little like you may need a break. Nothing wrong with experimenting with other hobbies so long as you have the time/resources/inclination. You could buy a boat, learn horse dressage, do glassworking or metalurgy, do some amateur law enforcement, not to mention the old standbys of cars, women and drink.. its up to you.
your video games will always be waiting for you if you decide to boot them back up.
I'm 39 and still play video games. Video games may have started out as a kiddy thing, but that is not the case anymore. Video games are now for all ages. Personally, I like being able to relate to people a lot younger than I am. It's fun.
No age is too young or old to play games. (unless of course it's physically impossible)
Aslong as you enjoy it why stop?
No age limit but it also depends on the people around you.
I'm only 22 but some of my relatives, friends, and other people I know would say this to me, "Your already an adult and you still play videogames?". Some of my friends already quit gaming during the mid-PS2 era (they were about 16-18 at that time) because they think they are too old for it.
Every once in awhile I ask myself this same question especially now that I'm in the 30+ age group. Thankfully I still enjoy videogames and I honestly cant see a time when I dont enjoy them. However I can see the OP's point about xbox live which is why my mike is off 99% of the time.
In truth it's not the online community that frustrates me, its the people in real life that make me wonder if I'm getting too old for this hobby. By that I mean it's become increasingly hard to find like minded people with which to talk about games or involve in playing games online. None of my friends game anymore and the few co workers I know that still game are so casual that I can barely stand to discuss gaming with them. Oh well. Long Live the Old Gamer.
Does age stop randy cotoure from fighting no DONTquit fighting man keep on gameing dog yea woo ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!insanewolfninja
Unless you're playing with someone much younger, bigger, and faster like Brock Lesnar...i agree.
Games are for everyone to play does not matter what age you are if you find fun and enjoyment in games then thats truly all that matters .
Are you just down because you keep running into groups of young kids on live? and I don't mean young like young adult I am talking pre-pubescent here because this is what happens to me on public Gears 2 :| an 18 cert game and I am continuously getting grouped off with kids far too young to even own the game (I really hope they are anyway, because if not they have severe hormone in-balances going on their voices and behaviour). I should take my own advice here but if that is the problem try to add people you meet online that you enjoy gaming with ;) and don't let yourself feel bad about your hobby.SapSacPrime
that is actually exactly the reason i didnt buy gears 2.
