Not sure if it's worth very much since Pokemon was already really big at that time, so I'm guessing a lot of people have the game still. I know I have. :)
edit: A problem with buying old GB games with a save feauture like Pokemon is that the saving battery eventually goes dead and it will make saving and loading impossible. The battery can be replaced though this is a bit of an annoying process.
I wouldn't call it rare but it's a game people still want so it's pretty valuable for a Game Boy game. Maybe thirty or forthy bucks for just the cartridge. Having manuals and the box will get you some more cash. If you have it sealed in box, it's worth hundreds to collectors but you have to find a collector.
Yeah I have a copy of Silver that a friend of mine gave to me and it didn't save. I remember getting really far then I had to go somewhere with my parents but when I got back, I had to start over. Oh the frustration! Not sure if it's worth very much since Pokemon was already really big at that time, so I'm guessing a lot of people have the game still. I know I have. :)

That's more than I would expect from a gameboy game! The reason I wanted to know is because I'm purchasing a new gaming computer. Sounds right. I think on amazon its going for high 20's right now. Now if it was sealed it could be a good bit but used its not that rare.Used? Like 20-30 bucks max.

Still got my monster brain just in case the battery problem ever happens. =P If it's not sealed then you are looking at $10 to $30 on ebay. Maybe more, depends on how much people want to bid on it. :PNot sure if it's worth very much since Pokemon was already really big at that time, so I'm guessing a lot of people have the game still. Interesting point about the save issue, i remember it happened to my pokemon silver and i lost like 20 level 100s. It still makes me sad to this day.

Actually, I think the estimate I gave you for cart only is a bit high. You are looking at more like $15-25. Still not bad. W/ as popular as Pokemon is, I'd have figured you could but 'em for like five bucks all over the place.
You can probably sell it locally for like 10 bucks, they sell them for like 20 down at a store near me, and that's red and blue, not sure about yellow, probably cheaper if anything.

It's like $5 new. Where do you guys live?I doubt it's rare used. The game sold like hotcakes. If you'retryingto get it new/sealedthough, it's goingto cost you. (supply and demand and allthat)
Best of luck.

People get away with selling it for fourtimesthat price used here inthe UK. The PAL version ofthegame is currently on sale new on Amazon for £199.
Actually, this kid just wanted a couple extra bucks. I was honestly expecting maybe $3. But $20-$30?!?! Holy crap!Lol think this kid was hoping to have a small fortune in his hands.

Nintendo games tend to sell for ridiculous prices despite not actually being rare. Go look up Super Metroid or Oracle of Ages, same crap.
It isn't rare at all, but used it fetches about $10 to $15 on Ebay for just the cart. Boxed used go for about $25 and new go for as high as $60.
