That depends on which SMAS you have...
- If you have SMAS without Super Mario World, its very common
- If you have SMAS with Super Mario World but without any packaging, chances are you have a pack-in cart that came with SNES consoles. Slightly less common than the above, but still not rare
- If you have SMAS with SMW and with packaging, then you have a rare copy (or at least an uncommon one).

Yeah I actually have SMAS with Super Mario World without packaging.
Its not really rare the only one I heard that was sort of rare was SMAS SMW with packaging like gameguy said. The one I have was packaged with some SNES consoles so a lot of people got it through that and the regular SMAS was very common back in the SNES days and you could probably find some at Gamestop or some gaming store that sells used SNES games.
we had it as a pack in when we got a SNES ('94 or '95 i think, mebbe even eariler) and then my bro went and sold all the games for it. thank god i kept link to the past and super metroid locked away out of his grubby mitts!
anyway i'd love to get my hands on SMAS again, but haven't seen it anywhere! :(
