Usually, I can be pretty lenient about it. The TV and Xbox360 are in the living room where my mom walks around and does chores, cleans the kitchen etc. It's her house, so I try to just ignore it. But I started playing Dead Space lately and my mom's talking to herself is extremely annoying while I'm trying to play.

I love her but sh*t it gets annoying. Do you guys get this annoyed or just not care?

When the kids start jumping and singing in front of the tv it's time to lay the smack down.

I need silence and concentration when playing games. When people start bothering me, it becomes annoying. I get very mad at my friends whenever I buy a new game and pop it in my Xbox 360 and am in the middle of an important cutscene and then my friend sends me a message telling me he wants to play Modern Warfare 3 with me. No matter how many times I decline it, I just know he or someone else is going to send it to me 10 seconds later. They never seem to get the message that I dont want to play, yet they cannot stand not getting what they want. Also, I get annoyed when people bother me. If I start losing in a game, I usually blame it on them which makes me look stupid. LOL. But yeah, I need to be focused when playing video games. I even hate it when I am playing and there are people around and they yell "You should do this" or "Oh man, you should've done that!!!".

Not really annoyed; I just pause the game and let people do their thing.

YOU are new bestest friend....great (or at least ill-tempered) gaming minds think alike, lol. No disturbence allowed for me or the b**ch WILL emerge.....and I don't discriminate on the rage fam or friends catch it all the same.

When the kids start jumping and singing in front of the tv it's time to lay the smack down.

LMAO..... Now THAT sounds like true dedicated gamer dad! Thankfully, I was never that insane enough to get in my Pop's way when he was gaming....I knew better. Hmm, perhaps that where I got my silence-only gaming disposition....

It doesn't really bother me unless someone is purposely trying to annoy me by standing in front of the tv or throwing something at me. I can still keep focused enough on the game and hold a conversation with someone and there's always the pause button if I need it.

Unless you're scooting across the TV every 5 seconds or blaring music, I'm pretty cool-headed. I don't mind a little chatter or light noise, unless said chatter or noise is coming from online players. Thankfully, automute exists for those occasions.

I prefer to have the door closed (play in my room), but I don't get too annoyed with noise around me.

If I can pause the game not at all. If I think people bothering me while gaming will ruin my enjoyment I'll arrange to play at a different time. I do expect common courtesy out of people in the same way that I would act towards someone else who is occupied or using the TV or whatever.

It doesn't happen to me often since I game in my room. When it does happen I can usually just pause the game, so I tend to be fine with it. I'm a little annoyed if the interruption comes while I'm in the middle of a cutscene or when I can't pause though.

I hate interuptions. Though it depends on what I'm playing. A story driven game I need silence to concentrate. I also tend to unplug my X-Box from the internet so I don't get messeges popping up everytime someone comes online. If I am playing a fighting game or any kind of multiplayer ornon story driven game I will leave it plugged in though, and interuptions don't bother me too much.

This is also why I HATE unpausible cutscenes. It bug me SO much when I get intereupted durring one. Honestely, they should be rewindable too, so if I miss something I can go back and see it again.

I always get annoyed when I get interrupted while gaming, especially if it's multiple times in one session. My family knows there is no better way to get me cranky then to bug me when the game's running.

I almost exclusively play games in my own room with the door shut. On the rare occasion that someone is in my room while I'm playing it is understood by them that they better be silent or get out.

She really just says anything that pops into her mind, absolutely anything at all. Like, "oh, I don't think this tomatoes good. I'll put it here." and then make a song out of it and start dancing around. Actual example btw, happened just a couple hours ago.

It's nothing near schizophrenia or crazy stuff like that haha, she really just likes to be happy and bop around and talk. She's always been that way, really talkative and sweet and social and funny. Sometimes it's just really annoying too.

I enjoy a lot of immersive experiences so I prefer isolation and no distractions. Occasionally something will happen, a knock on the door or the phone rings and that's okay. However, when say everyone seems to start calling at once or my parents are constantly badgering me with little chores to do around the house, I tend to get annoyed. I'd rather just do something else than to have to pause a game every 5 minutes because something constantly keeps popping up.

I don't mind, but what annoys me is how they always come seeking attention just when I reach an important cutscene in a game or such.

Depends. If I'm playing a multiplayer game I don't really care much. If it's a story-driven game though and I'm trying to listen to in-game conversations, I can get pretty ticked off if people don't shut up or leave the room.

I still have a box filled with the teeth of all the people who ever disturbed me during the fight with Andross at the end of Lylat Wars. I've had it for years but even today when someone looks like they're going to open their yap I give it a warning rattle. Just as a friendly heads up.

They can bother me anytime I want but the mood that I'll be when I reply depends on the game.

I'm very tolerant. Usually my family likes to take a moment to watch what I'm doing. Unless I'm right in the middle of an unpausable cutscene where the entire plot is explained - then they might get a "Quit with the jibba-jabba fool!"

Most of the time I want complete silence. I want to be immersed in the games I play. To me it's an expierence, and somebody talking in the background or moving stuff or whatever takes me out of the expierence. I agree with that other guy... when that starts happening, it's time to lay the smackdown.

However in your case... don't mess with you mom, or when you have a girlfriend/wife someday,us men like to think we are bad, but the women in our lives will kick our ***es if we step out of line.

Nobody is more gangster than a girlfriend or a mom or a wife.
